I'm in the same boat...5'6" weighing 165, looking to first to get to a healthy 154 and then go from there. Feel free to add me :)

I plan my meals on Saturday and cook for the week on Sunday. I will usually prepare something healthy, filling, and simple in the crockpot (I just put pork shoulder in for a week's worth of carnitas). This works for me because I can eat the same food for a few days without getting sick of it and not having to think about…

I love your copy room comment! I'm sure I burn a ton of calories just because my room is at the opposite end of the building and I'm incredibly forgetful!

Hi there! I'm a fifth grade teacher who lives 45 minutes away from school. I find it a lot easier to work out if I force myself to pack my gym bag in my car before leaving for work. I see it when I put my school bag in my car, so I feel guilty if I end up not going. It also helps me to have a snack during dismissal while…

I haven't seen it before, but I'll be sure to check next time I go. That sounds like it could be a good alternative!

Little Rock to Santa Fe. 880 miles. Took about 16 hours total with stops for food and switching drivers.

I'm using the sensor in my shoe. Maybe I should try the app that uses my phone's GPS instead.

Wonderful info, thanks!

Berry smoothies have really helped with my sugar cravings lately. They aren't full of calories, but they satisfy me just like the sweets used to! Good luck!

Today was week 6 day 3 for me, and I did it! 25 minutes of running seemed like so much when I could barely run for just 60 seconds straight at week one! Today wasn't easy, but I surprised myself by running faster than I expected. I can see the light at the end of the C25K tunnel. Speaking of...does anyone have any hints…

I did this run a couple of weeks ago! It was hard for me mentally at first, but once you get past the mental block that you are running nonstop for 20 minutes you can kind of get in a rhythm and forget about the time. I felt so wonderful after successfully completing that run; you'll love it :)

Getting ready to do W6D2 today! I was sick for a week which messed with my training for awhile...I have a race scheduled in two weeks, and I'm hoping I'll be able to cross the finish line!

My heart aches for you! I'm so sorry this has been so difficult for you, but I agree with other posters in taking it slow. I know that's not always something we want to hear when we're used to working out and feeling great because of it, but it really is what your body needs. If you push too hard now you might actually be…

I'm just beginning to train for a 5K, too. I'm not sure how much experience you have, but there are some great apps out there for Couch to 5K that work wonderfully. I just have the one called C25K, it lets you add your own music and journal after each run/walk/jog session. I love it!
