  • They took it away, if you can believe it, because it “wasn’t used”. What a bunch of horse crap. I’ve been using this app since its inception…used Daily Plate/Livestrong prior and moved over when they got rid of their news feed. Folks are going over to Lose It! app now.
  • Where in Alaska? Alaska is 3 times bigger than Texas....
  • Welp....didn't lose as much weight as I hoped, but feel like I firmed up some, and at least I've been weighing more regularly. Do need to eat better - not sure why that's such a challenge lately. Hope your back is better, B.
  • 141.8 It's not coming off quickly, but it's creeping down, which is good. Clothes are fitting much better, too. This last week I've really been watching my carbs....feel better overall. I'm still shooting for 135. Have been working out a lot....elliptical at home and gym, Zumba, StepJam, and treadmill. Onward and downward!
  • 142.6 Well, back up a few pounds. Weighing in after Valentine's Day isn't a good idea! I'm sure I'll drop back a few pounds once I lower the carbs again. :) Been keeping consistent with my workouts, and clothes are fitting better. Good job, B. Glad your back is doing well, also!
  • 140.0 Whoot! Finally got some weight off. Continuing with Zumba and step classes - and some treadmill running. Great job, B!
  • I really miss eating eggs....was always my fallback food.
  • Yep. I need a set meal plan - and eat the same thing every day. If I try to get too creative or just a "small treat", that sends me off course.
  • Yep, I need to be you for a few weeks! You have great willpower. Me, not so much. I need to try though!
  • Well done, B! I'm still in Oregon, so no weigh-in this week, Are you doing low carb Paleo to get the weight off? Seems no matter what I do, I'm at the same weight generally. I'm working out a lot..... Perhaps I need to something very strict for a few weeks. Any suggestions? Still have about 7-8 pounds I'd like to lose,
  • Super week for you, B! I'm down to 142.4....so a little loss. The weird thing - weird in a good way - is that although the scale isn't moving much, I must be getting rid of a lot of inflammation - as jeans and shorts I hadn't been able to get into in a year or so are fitting. Finding out what foods I'm allergic to has been…
  • I hear ya. Actually had a 2 pound drop this week....but the weekend will probably do me in. At least it's not going above my initial weigh in.
  • Weight the same here. But, I am feeling a bit firmer and my jeans aren't quite as tight in the butt. Also, I don't have so much fat on my upper thigh...noticed at yoga the other day. So that's something! Good job everyone! Onward and DOWNWARD! :#
  • Checking in... 144.0 Didn't lose anything this past week! Did float down a few pounds to 142, but then back up this morning. I'm sure it has something to do with being female....this week anyway. :p Just finished up my Zumba workout...gonna try for 5 workouts this week - was a bit of a slacker last week. Onward and…
  • Are you having tons of rain there? Keeping fingers crossed that you make it today!
  • Good job! :)
  • Sounds good. I didn't get a workout in either - but I did get my evening walk. I'm trying to lessen inflammation, so technically can't do anything strenuous!
  • Hi everyone! 144.0 Sitting where I thought I would be...tend to go up and down a few but arrive back at this place. Fighting inflammation, so getting my weight lower has been challenging. My Goal is to get to 135, which is a few pounds above where I sat for most of my life, but I think, doable. :)
  • Thanks for your replies. GP prescribed Synthroid to *hopefully* reduce nodules and increase FT4. FT4 is not out of range, but at the bottom end of range. My one nodule is almost 5cm now... which is considered fairly large. Editorgrrl - Do you have goiter or nodules?
  • Look into Atkins. I would check out their website - they easily explain their plans and different levels of carb consumption based on your weight loss goals. They also have an app!
  • Port Townsend, Washington Sunny and 50 degrees! :D
  • Port Townsend, WA National Register of Historic Places....home of school of Wooden Boat Building....Victorian homes....Point Wilson Lighthouse... organic farms, slow food, and top farmers market in the state! 9800 population.
  • I can't use whey protein either - regardless of what kind or brand. I use Jay Robb Egg White Protein. It's the only one that doesn't cause stomach upset or bloating for me. Tastes great, too.
  • Well - that would be the last conversation I had with said boyfriend. If he doesn't treat you well and respect you now, he never will. You can do better!!
  • Thanks for your reply. My numbers have been the same for the past 6 years, except for a time in 12/2008 when my TSH tested at 1.25. Not sure if that was just an anomaly or what. I went to see my nutritionist yesterday - she does muscle testing. She said my thyroid was showing signs of not being happy. For the past 6 months…
  • To my Mom: Don't treat Dad like ****. We're not stupid, even though we were young. We remember everything you did. And, that is why to this day my Mom and I have a fragile relationship.
  • I use Jay Robb Egg White protein powder - have tried the vanilla and the chocolate, and they're both good. I also buy it online from Pharmaca.com - they always have it reduced price and then a sitewide discount as well.
  • Queso! Which you can't seem to find where I'm currently living - near Seattle. Use to eat this at every Mexican restaurant I ever went to in Texas!
