Anyone have any good recommendations on dairy free protein powders? I am finding I may need to give up dairy.

RAW has a decent vegan protein powder.0

I use Genuine Health Vegan Proteins +. I like it much better than Vega protein powder.0

egg is the only protein powder I'd use that wasn't dairy...0
-
I use a combination of Plant Fusion Chocolate protein powder and hemp protein. I like them both.0

I use Sunwarrior Classic Protein chocolate flavor. It's really good!0

I like Vega protein powder.0

I love the Vega Vanilla Almondilla energizing smoothie protein powder. It's not as high as some of the other ones, but it's positively delicious!
It can be kind of pricey at Whole Foods and other places, but you can try shopping at www.iherb.com. No sales tax (to CA at least) and the lowest price with free expedited shipping domestically. Pretty awesome. They have lots of protein powders there too, so you could probably find other vegan protein powders.0 -
there are hemp protein powders out there as well. I haven't tried any yet but its on my list.0

Omega Nutrition Pumpkin Seed Protein Powder. It's fabulous.0

I love egg protein! It is very smooth and delicious.
Just be careful not to get it too hot. It will solidify into a spongy gross awful textured blob thing >__<0 -
diary as in cow's all all dairy from animals.
i would suggest goats, pea or egg.
the paleo view did a awesome podcast on dairy back in october last year that I would suggest listening too, as they talk a lot about whey and casein.0 -
I just got some Soy Protein powder from GNC. Two bags were only $24! They have vanilla, chocolate, and unflavored. It's dairy-free and 25g protein per 1 scoop. Love it! Other dairy-free protein powders were there too but they were expensive.0

I use Jay Robb Egg White protein powder - have tried the vanilla and the chocolate, and they're both good.
I also buy it online from Pharmaca.com - they always have it reduced price and then a sitewide discount as well.0 -
I second the RAW.0

I've tried a couple. Currently, I'm using Rice Protein Powder. I like it. Blends smooth and doesn't color what it blends with. I bought it on Amazon.0

Go to www.fit4maui.com. Click on shopping. There is a new Nano Product called Pro Vegan and it is amazing!!0

Trader Joe's has a chocolate hemp one that tastes like drinking a basket.
If you're cutting out dairy for vegan purposes, or are flat out allergic, there are pea protein powders available.
If you're just trying to avoid lactose, many whey protein powders are actually low-lactose or lactose-free. Optimum Nutrition comes to mind.0 -
I use Organic Brown Rice protein powder. It tastes a bit nasty (like envelope glue), but I can't take any dairy, hemp, legumes or soy, so it's kind of my only option, haha. I recommend it if you have stupid dietary restrictions like I do -- though be sure to mix it with a banana or something like that to improve the flavour!0

Yeah. I only tried a hemp based protein powder once (can't remember the brand name) and it was pretty bad, really didn't like the taste and it was a lovely brown...ugh. So I'd stay away from hemp protein.0 -
Just look for a quality "isolate" whey. Most people I know can't handle dairy but can handle an isolate including me.0

MRM Veggie protien in Vanilla is pretty good and not really expensive. 22 grams of protein, per scoop and no artificial flavors or sweeteners ..(it is also gluten free, vegan and has no perservatitives) The chocolate veggie is really sweet... it may be better if you just add water instead of almond milk (I mix mine with almond milk) (I order mine from Amazon as the super supplements seems to run out of it quite often)
I have an allergy to dairy and soy (and I'm gluten sensative... yes, finding a good protein powder has been challenging) I find the vegan protein powders pack more protein per scoop and are easier on my tummy.
MRM veggie protein is a blend of Pea, brown rice hemp, flax seed, chia seed, and some other stuff (mostly organic)
Good luck0 -
I use Jay Robb's Egg White Protein powders.0

Another vote for Jay Robb's egg white protein powder - though I have found it pricey. I will have to look at the site you mention!
The other one I use is Source Naturals Pea Protein powder. A bit grainy, but since I blend my shakes with almond milk, ice, flax seeds, and sometimes nut butter or berries, I don't notice the texture as much (I've never tried just protein powder and water/milk!)0
