Do they offer any classes? Make a friend in one and it will help keep you motivated. Or make a promise with mfp friend to both go to the gym that day. Once it becomes routine it will feel more comfortable. You got this! !

I hear your pain, I have low self esteem as well and it is affecting all areas of my life. My husband notices it, my mom, even my work. After a huge fight with my husband, I confessed I don't love myself because I don't like the extra weight I carry on my body. I don't feel like me, I am uncomfortable in my own skin and is…

Try a different modification like against the back of your couch or a chair until you can build up to the "regular" push up. Girl push ups don't work most of the muscles like a regular push up does.

If you are ONLY looking at scale numbers then I can see why you think only 6 kept the weight off. I feel like I read a different article than what you described. I see way more success stories than 6.

cottage cheese pancakes with strawberries and almonds... sounds strange, but it tasted amazing!

I'm with Muse on this one. I love 4 seasons and I know spring will come, so I am embracing winter and trying to find the good in it. Instead of getting out the snow blower, I shoveled my entire driveway. I put on my HRM to see how much of a workout it is and the calorie burn is pretty equal to my regular circuit training…

The FDA doesn't care about your well being as much as you think it does and maybe the research shows it doesn't cause cancer, but there are a lot of awful other things it causes including rotting teeth, makes you have larger cravings for sugar and then this story: "In October of 2001, my sister started getting very sick…

Drink water tonight and first thing when you wake up. Tomorrow is a new day!

I avoid diet soda at all costs. I highly suggest researching aspartame, the sweetener used in diet beverages. I will occasionally have a mixed drink with pop on the weekends, but other than that, no pop for me.

Hey! I am actually a member on her site and I was reading about the same thing the other day. She said you don't have to eat before a morning workout. If you're starving have a little bit of protein. I love my sleep too ;) Good luck!

We have similar goals and lives! I graduated college in December, married last June. I started at 210 (currently 203) 5'5 and my goal weight is 140. We can DO THIS!

I love my FT4 Polar HRM!! I feel like I have accomplished something for the day when I log a workout on it. Good luck!

I asked myself the same question and I have a similar scenario to yours. I decided not to count work as exercise too often since it sometimes gives me an excuse not to workout. I only count days at work when I work up a sweat and make sure I am getting my workouts in for the week!
-
Anyone feel free to add me! I have bee on mfp for quite a bit, but I am a newbie workout-wise. I started my fitness journey last week and am already noticing results!

Feel free to add me :) I just started a new program this week!
