The last 10...
I know I'm lucky to be down to the last 10, believe me I'm only partially complaining (since I've lost 75 already since March 1 2015)... But... This is SO HARD. My logging is super tight, down to the gram. I'm working out like a champ. I'm drinking my liquids. The only major change is sleep - I'm lucky to get 6 hours a…

What to do - either losing or gaining... Not staying put!
Hi All. So I started in March and I'm down 74 pounds. I was down 80. Then Thanksgiving came. Then Xmas. Then NYE. Yikes. I seem to be able to jump off and back on, but I can't seem to maintain. I want to lose another 10, but it seems that as soon as I stop and switch to maintenance calories I immediately (I mean…

CRAZY NSV PIC (~ 75 pounds, 33% body weight, gone). Can't believe it...
Crazy!! So this is a before, and a during (I've got 15 more to go, give or take...). I'm wearing old jeans. Difference is I can fit my entire body in ONE leg. And these used to be tight. This is from 220 to 146. I'm 5'2" and 42 yo.

Huge veins in my arms/hands after major weight loss
I've lost 75 pounds and roughly 30% of my body weight. Now I've got really veiny arms (forearms) and hands. Anyone else? Why? Doesn't bother me, just so odd.

How do you do it?

70 lbs down - starting to struggle with hunger
Hi All. I'm 70 lbs down, currently weigh 149, 42 yo and female. 134 is the start of a "normal" BMI. Ideally I'd like to be in the low 120s/high 110s. I hit my lowest weight a week ago (148.8) bounced up a few and came down, still not to my low. It's understandable and I'm not concerned about that fluctuation. However...…

70 lbs, 8 months (Pics)
Started in March thinking it would never work and that I'd just give it a try. 8 months later, 70 pounds down, total change of lifestyle, never being deprived, having the occasional "over day" with 25 pounds to go... I started at 219. What I've learned is this: 1. Weigh and log. Everything. The good, the bad, and the ugly.…

Best "slimming" waist undergarment
Hi All, I've gone from 219 to 149 (I'm 5'1.5") and it's coming off from all over now. Which is good - since in the beginning I lost a full shoe size and my wrists became very slim (sure, where every woman wants to lose). After 2 c-sections and years of bring heavy I've got the two final frontiers of thighs and stomach. My…

Too much of a whoosh?
As of this morning I'm 16.8 pounds from MFPs goal weight for me (and 26.8 from where I'd like to end up). I have been tracking for 7 months and have lost 68.2 pounds. I'm 5'2" and 42 yo (and female). My concern at this point is that I seem to be losing weight too rapidly for this stage of the game. I exercise daily,…

Weird pains/aches... thought my tail bone was a tumor!
So I've lost about 67 pounds and more than 30% of my body weight. I've got about 25-30 left. (20 from the highest "normal" BMI - which I cannot believe, YAY!!) But man, it's so weird to feel bones in places where I've never, ever felt them. I thought I had a real medical issue, in my car it feels like I'm sitting on a golf…

HELP!! I think I need a diet break, but don't want to lose momentum
Okay... So for 6 months I've stuck to 1200. Under MANY times, over (though not including exercise, which I do every day) maybe 5 times (and again, not exceeding even 50-75% of conservative exercise calories). I'm trapped in a "hungry" cycle. So because I'm afraid I'll eat too many calories I've been adding exercise. And I…

C-Section shelf. Will it lessen in appearance?
I've lost 62 pounds. Had 2 c-sections and have the shelf to prove it :) I'm reducing everywhere, still have 26 to get to MFP goal and 30-35 to get to where I think I'd like to be. Have you had any success with reduction in the dreaded shelf? (5'2", started at 220 and this morning was 157.5.)

60 down, 30 to goal - pics included
Every "decade" I post new pics to show that it CAN be done. Because if I can do it, anyone can. 42 years old, 5'2". Started March 1, down 60.1 pounds.

The slow down - what have you found?
Firstly, I am NOT complaining... I've been following MFP since March and have lost approx 59 pounds. From 220 to 161ish. I weigh myself every day, have since the start, and I'm happy to do it - doesn't make me nuts. In the beginning the weight flew off. I was losing 2-4 pounds each week. I was obese and sedentary, so…

And the slow down begins...
So it has finally happened. After 6+ months of steady 2 lb (or more) weekly losses my body has decided to slow down. I'm 35-40 pounds from where I'd like to be (34 from where MFP) set my goal. Now it's a battle for 1 lb a week. It's okay, it was expected. Was a nice ride...

55 pounds down
I still have 35-45 to go. But what a difference! I'm proud if myself and know that we can all do it if we work hard. Good luck to us all!!!

Do you experience weight gain in humidity?
I walked around San Antonio all day. 102 with high humidity. Gained 2 lbs. so bizarre!!

Help - Adjusting from VLCD (very low cal) to normal MFP recommendation, what to expect.
I have been eating too little... I have been making changes to my lifestyle for approximately 5 months. When I started MFP recommended 1000 calories per day. At some point that changed to 1200 but I did not change. I (sometimes intentionally, sometimes inadvertently) kept my calories to between 850-1000 calories per day.…

51.5 pounds down, not there yet (pics)
When I started this the whole "50 pounds down" seemed like a pipe dream, not something tangible - but here I am. I have not eaten clean, I have not sworn off "treats," I have not taken any pills or had any surgery (not knocking any of it - whatever works for you...). I have incorporated exercise into my daily life, I have…

Will my newly discovered wings go away?
42 year old female, 40+ pounds down since early March, 45 left to lose. My arms are now wing-like. Yuck! Hoping some of this is fat and will be lost. Extra skin is ugly but I can deal with it, as long as the wings decrease. If I can't lose them than I'd better damn well learn how to fly!

How soon can you expect to "see" progress once you start strength training?
I'm meeting with my trainer (yay!) on Thursday. I've lost 33.4 pounds so far, since March 4. Unfortunately I still have approx 60 to go as a 5'2" (optimistic height) 42 yo woman. I'm well aware that I'm losing muscle along with fat. Fat can go, but I need the muscle. I do cardio every day for at least an hour - I do 2 if I…

Help me out with "weight loss isn't linear."
So, I'm trying to continue losing weight while adding more calories (to where MFP suggested I be). I've lost 32 pounds since March 4. This is a lot, in a short time span. I was one of the "I can't even eat 1000 calories" people for the first few weeks. Honeymoon stage perhaps? I'm supposed to eat 1200 (started at 5'2", 219…

1/3 of the way there :) Pics Included
Starting weight was 219 (probably higher). Current weight 187.7. Started March 4, 2015. Began with strict CICO but no exercise. Then added bike riding, maybe 3x a week for 5 slow miles. After a month I began to go the Y. Took a few Zumba/Les Mills classes (barely made it out alive). What's the worst thing to hear after an…

Serious spike in weight TOM
I've read these boards long enough to have seen these threads pop up, but reading it is so different from experiencing it personally!! Since March 4 I've lost just shy of 30 pounds. Big difference. I'm really great about weighing everything and logging intake. I've started, over the past month, to incorporate exercise…

Weekly calories or daily calories?
Hi All, Do you look at your weekly or daily calories to make sure you're in deficit? I thought that weekly was fine (if you have an over you can make up for it with an under). I'm correct, aren't I?
