Weekly calories or daily calories?

Hi All,

Do you look at your weekly or daily calories to make sure you're in deficit?

I thought that weekly was fine (if you have an over you can make up for it with an under). I'm correct, aren't I?

Weekly. I like to consume more calories on the weekends.

Both, in a way. Keeping my daily calories in a deficit generally helps stay in a deficit overall. If however, I go significantly over in a single day, I'd look at the larger picture (the week) to determine how I can balance that out.

You can do either successfully. Might not want to weigh yourself every morning if you consume most of your calories on the weekends though, or be prepared for larger fluctuations. It's all about the long term though.

I kind of monitor both as well. Try to stay under daily, but if for some reason my body is craving more food (or I hit a social outing too hard) I try to look at the weekly view and smooth it out.

For me, I try to be under a couple hundred calories every weekday so I can drink my calories on the weekends. I'm still loosing so I'm doing something right.

Weekly. But I tend to always be under my goal or right on point. Have been losing 2lbs a week for the last 5 weeks so it seems to work for me.

Daily. If under my goal daily I know I am under weekly.

I try to stay close to my daily goal, but I dont stress over it...some days Ill be over or under. As long as it averages out over the week Im happy.

both...I watch daily and during the weekend if I have "extra" I might not be as tight with my choices.
