HIIT Treadmill Time?
I've been doing 45-minute brisk walk and jog, and I'm planning to change to HIIT. I read about splitting a time between the interval, but I haven't seen how many repetition is to be done (or total time of doing it). I might probably start off with 20 seconds of high intensity followed by 40 seconds of moderate, resulting…

Jog vs. Cycling vs. something else for Obese man wanting to lose fat
I'm 21, 222lb, 5'8. I know it's horrible.. I've been working out on the treadmill for 2 weeks now, but I don't think I'm very progressive with it. Out of 30 minutes, I do 15 minutes brisk walk (3.8mph), 15 minutes light jog (4.5mph), and 5 minutes cooldown (down 0.5mph every minute). I've been trying to push my limits, but…

HIIT for someone whose BF is 21~22%
I'm 5'8 at 175 pounds. I want to bring my body fat down to 15% with progressive exercise and health eating. For my exercise other than weight training, I spend 60 minutes on the treadmill Mon, Wed, Fri and Sun, 5 minutes at 3.0~3.5mph followed by 5 minutes at 5.5mph, and repeat this process 6 times. My treadmill says about…

Will 12 pounds of fat at my stat make a big difference? (with attachment)
I'm currently 172lb, 5"8. The last time I checked my body fat on my belly with the Accu-measure clipper was at 21% body fat. My target is to hit 160 pounds by the 2nd week of Jan, and I'm just worried if that belly fat doesn't go away as much as I want..

How good is salmon for fat loss?
I'm 5"8 and 177lb, but my body fat is 22-23%.. I have a huge chunk of fat on my belly that literally sticks out about 1.5 inch (dead serious) and my thigh. My primary goal is to burn all this fat so my BF goes down to about 15% and be at about 160lb. I was wondering how good is salmon for those who want to primarily lose…

Sweet potato in my daily diet?
I usually eat 1 boiled egg (large) for dinner, and I was wondering if sweet potato is a good substitution for it (not always but maybe alternate every other day). I'm planning on taking a half-size sweet potato. I was looking up online, and the calorie is relatively ok, about 130cal per 100g, but carb is like 25g.. I try…

Fat Burning Zone?
I'm now 22 years old, 5'8 and 189lb. 23.4% body fat. On Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, I do 100 squats (10 sets of 10) followed by 30 minutes brisk walk (4.0mph) and some jogs in between. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday I do benchpress/weightlift (30 each) and cycling HIIT (20sec on/ 2min off for 5-7 times) at the…

HIIT stationery bike
I'm doing 20 sec at the speed of 30mph followed by 40 sec semi-rest at the speed of 8~10mph for 20 mins, but the machine shows that I burned only 180 calories (219lb). I know HIIT training has a lot to do with post workout metabolism, but how do people keep track of the overall calorie burn in these cases?

Please guide me on HIIT Treadmill
I was recently told that HIIT is much more effective than long cardio, so I'm thinking of doing that. Is it ever possible to do it 30 minutes + 5min warm-up in the beginning, 7 days a week? Or is it not possible at all? Also, people say that the heart rate should be 60~70% of the maximum heart rate, but I'm not sure about…

Two 30-minute jog vs. one 60-minute jog
Does it make any difference in one-hour jog opposed to splitting in two? I've tried both, and it seemed like I was more willing to workout the next day when I did two 30-minute jog, but if 60-minute is better, I'm willing to do that. Some people say the fat starts to burn about 20 minutes after exercising so the 60-minute…

Haven't lost 0.1lb in 3 days
I've been losing weight quite regularly, seeing every 0.3~0.5 pounds decrease everyday. However, I was at 244 pounds this Monday, and I'm still at 244.. eating has been consistent, so were the exercises. Do you have these several days when it's like this?

Omelet everyday (Weight Loss)
I'm in the process of losing weight, and I want to start excluding rice and substitute it with eggs instead (breakfast). Is it okay to eat omelet every morning? I will use cooking spray, I will be putting ingredients such as ham, onions and other veggies like tomato. Also, is using egg beaters (egg whites) for omelet okay?…

Soy bean Paste
Hi. I sometimes eat soy bean paste with chicken breast, and I was wondering about its sodium under nutrition fact. It has 820 mg of sodium per 30g(serving size). If I take it down to eating about 15g, does that mean the sodium amount is also reduced by half? Might sound stupid for some, but I don't really know. Also, is…

Adding Muscle excercise to my daily running plan?
I brisk walk for 45 minutes in the morning and in the evening at a speed of 3.8-4.0 mph. I also want to add daily muscle exercises for boosting metabolism, and I'm somewhat clueless in muscle workouts.. Some exercises that I'm thinking of doing are squats and sit-ups, but I then also wonder if it's meaningful to do just…

How accurate is the calories counted by the cardio machines?
I'm 236lb at 5'8 and I semi-speed walk for 45 minutes at a speed of 3.8 mph followed by 5-minute cooldown. The calorie showed 370 on the treadmill but I get bunch of different results on various websites.. Does anyone know which site is sort of reliable for getting an accurate counter? Much thanks in advance.

Splitting the Run
I will be planning on jogging for 90 minutes a day at a speed of 6.0 mph. I will be doing one seession in the morning and one in the evening. I was wondering if running 45min/45min vs. 30min/60min makes any difference in terms of fat burning..

Please Help a newcomer on a breakfast diet plan
I'm currently 220lb, 5 ft 7in, and 21 years old college student. Because my classes start at 8 am in the morning, I can't spend much time on preparing food. I'm targeting to lose about 80 lb in about 6-7 months. I hear that oatmeal is good, but then I also hear that the instant ones aren't that healthy, and dealing with…
