So I posted this question on my wall..got little response so far so I thought i'd poll the larger crowd. Are the following two forms of cardio exercise the same, one better, one worse and why for fat burning. 1. Steady state cardio - say a 10 mile for 3 miles - 30 minutes 2. Intervals on a treadmill of - 1 min 4MPH walk,…

Recipe Buildger..."servings only?"
Can you only create your Recipe in a "number of servings" settings? maybe more accurately, my question is that a recipe you build looks like it can only be in serving sizes and not grams... So say i make a recipe that has multiple servings....well, thats no good, I want to eat the item during the week and weigh my item and…

To rack or not to rack....
So I have some weights and a bench just collecting dust. I want to get started "again" into lifting. What I know is very important is squats. The problem is , not squat rack or cage. I'd like to do strong lifts 5x5 from home. What are your thoughts on the need or not to invest in a open rack or a cage rack...are there…

alternative to barbell row
I am doing Stronglifts 5x5. I find the barbell row awkward...just hard to get my back flat..seems the proper form is to almost form a 90 degree angle bending at the waist. its hard on my back and neck. is there a good alternative to this exercise?

Friends
I asked this in another thread but no answer, perhaps it wasn't seen, perhaps there is not way to do what I was asking..so anyway, thought i'd try it again. When you add a friend, you get posts about their activity on your homepage and the mobile app. Is there a way to just not have that stuff display on your homepage?…

Stride Length
I am trying to fine tune my Fitbit for stride length. For some reason Mapmyrun and my Fitbit are a little off on distance. Feels like Mapmyrun is closer however i have a Fitbit Surge and it has a GPS so I'd think the two would be the same. anyways...I ran 2.98 Miles and 4368 steps per my Fitbit..so that is a stride length…

Prepping for first 5k
While I realize that a 5k is really just 30 to 40 minutes and done by a zillion people however, I'm planning on my first on April 2....fairly flat route. Exercise all at one time or spread out?
Just curious your thoughts on exercise such as cardio and multiple times per day vs one longer session? For example, Say i go walk at lunch time for 30 minutes, then later say run 15 minutes on the treadmill or when the weather gets better, a shorter run outdoors at night...I assumptions are that this is an accumulated…

So for a few weeks I've been eating to little. Results have been good but i fear i'm on a path to a screwed up metabolism. All my research tells me I should be at 1500 to 1700ish to lose a pound or so a week. I'm setting my new Goal to 1600 calories/day. Hope that works.

BMR and Calorie intake
Ok so....explain this please. My BMR is about 1709 at the moment. Calorie intake calculators to include MFP suggest that for weight loss at a rate of 1 to 1.5lbs a week i should consume less than 1709. the fact that last time i checked i wasn't in a coma, so i'm burning more than 1709 just being off my butt and non…
