My Fitbit negative calorie adjustment is TAKING AWAY calories??
Hi all, I’ve been using a Fitbit zip for some time. I have walked 6500 steps so far today and jogged 3.5 miles. I logged my jog and my Fitbit negative calorie adjustment took away 250 calories from my food and now says I’ve eaten too much?? Why is this? Is this correct?

Do you eat back your negative calorie adjustment (Fitbit etc) - super confusing?
I have been walking some 13000 steps a day and jogging 1.75 miles or doing strength training every day. I am experiementing and have been ignoring the exercise calories but today I ate them back. I’m curious for those of you who track your steps (Fitbit etc) do you eat those calories back? It adds a good 500 cal to my…

Beginner running advice? Did you find running rough at first and what did you do to make it easier ?
Hello, I just went on my first jog in about a year. I literally could barely do 2.4 km. I used to be doing 3x (thanks C25K) this distance when I was heavier which just shows me being thinner doesn’t necessarily mean you’re fitter, I guess. I used to do 8 km at a slower speed but never got to the point where I enjoyed it.…

One day out with friends ruins any weight loss
Hi all, I’m really struggling to maintain my social life and diet. I’ll be in a 500 calorie deficit for the week and then go out with my friends one night and my deficit becomes only like 300 calories avg. Tonight I went to dinner and ate at maintenance or maybe a little over. When I divide that by the entire week it…

Is it worth it to buy whey protein isolate instead of concentrate?
I am sure a lot of you use protein powder/weight lift, so I thought I’d come here for advise. I currently use Bob’s Red Mill Protein Booster (pea protein) but am thinking of switching to whey. Concentrate is cheaper but apparently isolate is better in that it has less carbs but the same protein content. Do you all think it…

Confused about healthy weight loss rate (BMR and losing more than 1 lb a week)
Hi all, So I went onto tdeecalculator.net and plugged in my information. My basal metabolic rate is something like 1550 calories. From my understanding we shouldn’t eat below this. What I’m confused about is how to create a deficit of more than 500 calories. If I’m lightly active and burn 2100 a day then the highest…

How is Matt Stonie (YouTuber) not fat?
My friend sent me a video of this guy eating an absolutely insane amount of food. I mean I can go HAM but this was next level, and he ate so quickly. Yet he is so skinny. Does anyone have any idea how people who make videos like this don’t get fat? I don’t want to eat like this. I’m just shocked and curious. EDIT I found…

How in the world do you keep your favorite treats in the house ?
I just tried keeping my favorite in the house and having a little every day with the logic that I wouldn’t feel deprived if I got some each day. Well, it was a catastrophe. At first I practiced portion control but then i came back and started picking at it until I full blown just demolished it. I’m now at maintenance for…

Moderately active vs lightly active
I am trying to tell whether I should put lightly active or moderately active on a weight loss calculator activity level. I walk 7500-8500 steps five days a week and go to the gym 3-5 times (2x for an hour but with rests and 1-3 times for 25-30 minutes of cardio). Anyone have any ideas what activity level this makes me??

Do you plan your meals out before or eat what you fancy?
I’m curious what other people do. I usually plan it out and the change it last minute based upon what I’d prefer (within calories) Do you decide before that on Tuesday, for example, you’re having raisin oatmeal, turkey sandwich, and chicken and veg or do you decide the day of and just eat within your calories?
