Weekly Average?
I am tracking my calories and sometimes I'm over, sometimes under my allowance. It would be extremely helpful to know my weekly average so that I can reach my weekly allowance despite fluctuations. However where can you find that on MFP? I know it used to be on the mobile app but it isn't any more as far as I can tell? :S

Months of lifting but no results?!
I have been following the NROL program for a long time now. I'm halfway through Stage 5. I started in September, but re-started properly around Christmas. I have an active lifestyle and do lifting 3x a week usually. On top of my clubs like dancing and walking around my uni campus a lot each day. I have been eating at a…

Body fat test + BMR accuracy
I finally had my body fat tested today at the gym. I have been weightlifting for a few months now and I can definitely see progress both physically and in my increases in strength. First I was weighed and gave my age etc.... and said what I do in a week to determine my general activity level. Here's my results: Age: 20…

Walking on campus-Activity Level?
I am a university student living on campus at the moment, but my campus is pretty big. I basically just want to know if I'm on the right activity level at 'lightly active' or if I should be moderately active? I'm not really sure how the difference is? Monday to Friday I probably walk 2 hours a day on average? Some days…

Fitbit: How does it work exactly?
I'm considering getting the new Fitbit One as I want to know how many calories I burn from daily activity, as I have no idea! However I'm wondering if it's that accurate and worth the money? Does it measure calories burned by monitoring heart rate? This is the only way I can see it being truly accurate. Or is it estimating…

Monitor daily calorie expenditure-Fitbit, HRM, Bodymedia?
Hey everyone. I have been struggling for a loong time with guestimating my calorie expediture and make sure I'm not eating too little/too much. Because of my previous ED problems this mentally causes me more trouble then it's worth, so I have finally decided to invest in one of the above mentioned. I basically want…

Struggling with ED at uni & new activity level
Hey everyone. Ok this problem is a bit complex. More because of my mentality than anything probably. Basically I was losing weight well at home for a while. But now I have come to uni and I have stopped losing weight, even though my activity level is A LOT higher, and I am not eating very differently. I was on primal diet…

New daily routine at university-TDEE?
So I have started uni this year and just finished my first week. Already I can tell I need to change my calorie allowance! Here's my activity in a week here as far as I know so far. GENERAL: I live in accommodation about 15 minutes away from the centre of campus where my lectures are. 20 mins from some other buildings. So…

Re-introducing carbs
I have been on the paleo/primal diet since the beginning of this year and I have loved it. I still love it, and it really helped me in my weight loss (bonus!) However, I'm starting uiniversity later this month, and I'm going to be catered. This means that following this diet will not be easy. Perhaps impossible really,…

Calorie question: Activity level?
Hey everyone. I'm just re-assessing my calorie goals and I'm a bit confused on how to log my exercise against my activity level? I started a weight training program on Saturday and had my second session today, burning about 300 250-300 calories. This will probably increase slightly as I increase my weights/length of…

Calories Burned Swimming?
Hey everyone! Today i went swimming, and i took my polar F4 HRM to track calories burned. It didn't work though and showed between 0 and 160 :S And it often said I needed to check it because it wasn't working. I was just wondering how many calories I would have burned so i can log it more accurately? Is there a good,…

Lower back pain increasing
Hi everyone. So I realised a few months ago when I started doing pilates that I had a weak lower back. It really annoyed me as I couldn't do many of the ab exercises without being in pain. I thought it was just unlucky though and I was one of many who said they experienced similar pain. This may be true still... However I…

8 months; Almost There!
So I started my weight loss journey last September/October. I lost the first 7 pounds easily, then hit an infuriating 3.5 month plateau. I tried everything I saw in the threads to start losing again. But I didn't give up! Eventually a combination of 2 things got me back on track 1) Cutting carbs below 100 (paleo diet but…

Make up calories?
So I'm very close to my goal. I'm at 125 and my GW is 121. My daily calorie goal is 1630 and I usually lose 0.50-1lb on this. In 2 weeks recently I was under my calorie goal at about 1200 net and I lost weight but I thnk it was too fast and i want to lose fat not muscle. So last week I ate closer to my normal calorie goal…

Paleo/Primal Diet: Enough calories
I am on a paleo diet (but with the occasional dairy so maybe more primal) and i am loving it. However most days I struggle to get enough calories in. My BMR is 1470 and I usually aim for 1500 net. This is so difficult I find. E.g. today it's almost 9pm and i have eaten 1000 calories and I don't see how I can eat enough…

Paleo or Primal?
I was doing paleo for a couple of weeks but I was worried about calcium so I now do something in between. All paleo but allowing yogurt and milk. Does this sound OK? Which do you think is the best or is this middle ground the best option?

Family hindering my Paleo eating
So I just started the Paleo diet a few days ago and I really like it. It's been easy to do because I've had the house to myself and been able to cook my own meals made up of meat/eggs and veggies. However today I am havingto eat carns because my mum is someone who thinks eating them is essential etc.. ugh. So I have got…

Confused at weigh in results

I thought it was sill going well as on Friday and Sunday I had mid-week weigh-ins and I was 134.2 and then 133.8. Great! I then left it until yesteday (my logging day) and it said 134.8! I…

Is my HRM correct?
I have a polar f4 and it usually seems to be very accurate. It even matches with the calories shown on my zumba game. I just did 20 mins of trampolining on my big trampoline outside. I looked online to compare and it says I would burn about 70 calories according to my weight (134 lb), but my HRM says 215! That's such a big…
