New Feed Design - Enables quick support
I love the Like button. Enables quick support and check in. Just to be clear - it's no substitute for more in-depth support, but it IS another way to help each other to live the fit way of life!! Now I see why they did the redesign of the feed. Good job, MFP, and thank you!

Reached A Key Goal!
I did it. I just reached a healthy BMI. I know you can't put total stock in BMI as the sole indicator of health, but I feel good about reaching it. It's been one of many milestones. I started logging with MFP in May 2010. I logged my food and exercise EVERY day, except for one week when I was out of the country and…

60 Pounds Gone!
Today was my weekly check in and I was so excited - I hit the 60 pound loss mark. I attribute my achievement to daily logging and holding myself accountable for every bite - plain and simple. As happy as I am with my success so far, I've been here in the big loss column before. It's "easy" for me to lose the weight, it's…

Small Revelation Today
Mondays are check-in days for me. When I got on the scale today, the needle hadn't moved from last week. I know in previous weight-loss attempts, that would be cause for teeth gnashing. But, I know I held myself accountable for every bite and even motivated myself to exercise. So I needn't panic. It will move next week or…

Obese No More!!
With today's check in, I slipped into the overweight bracket. I've been here before, but with vigilance and dedication to holding myself accountable I hope to put overweight in my rearview in due time!! Thanks for all of the support here at MFP!!

Does this seem curious to you?
I joined MFP in late May and have lost 35 lbs. I'm delighted and can definitely see a difference in my clothes. Oddly enough, no one has mentioned a change in me. And to add to the conundrum, I've only lost 2 inches from my waist and 4 inches from my hips. Now first and foremost, I don't care a whit about whether someone…

I broke the 2s!!!!
I did it!! I broke out of the 200 zone. I have 50 more pounds to go, but this really feels like an achievement! One factor alone (in my mind, anyway) led to my success - accountability. I logged everything that I ate --- no matter what. Now I must add the exercise component with the same accountability (I exercise now on a…

Did you flip when you discovered...?
For the first time ever, I truly internalized the calories in a marshmallow today. Yeah - the little white pillow that makes a s'more a s'more and hot cocoa the delightful treat that it is. 25 calories per marshmallow!!! 25!!!! Here's where the flip comes in - I used to eat handfuls of those things. Never really knowing…

Any recommendations for a food scale? Stay away from??
I'm in need of a good food scale to help with portion control. Any suggestions?? I don't need fancy with a million bells and whistles, just plain old easy-to-use and care for. Thanks!!

I Made it through a party yesterday...
...by holding myself accountable. I hosted a party yesterday that called for snacks only, i.e. not lunch or dinner. I had all kinds of chips and dips, deviled eggs, cheese and crackers and cupcakes. I managed to maintain my eating cool and after everyone left, rushed to enter my food into MFP. It really helped. I also…

I want to stop being the fattest person at a get together!
I'm here because I went to a high school tea party (classmates I hadn't seen in years) and was mortified when I saw my picture. Not only was I the fattest person there, I consumed half the photo. UGH!! I've already found that logging in my food has raised my awareness level. Who knew I ate a lot of protein??? Exercise is…
