Why are my calorie burns so low?
I feel like I STRUGGLE to burn 400 calories in 1 hour. And all my MFP friends are burning 600+ calories in that time? My heart rate is generally in the 155-168 range... I weigh 146 right now (down 34lbs)...anyone know how I can get my burns higher? I just don't think I can get my heart-rate higher and work out for the same…

RMR and loosing weight
so I did the new leaf testing at the YMCA..my RMR ( resting metabolic rate) is 1305. A trainer told me to stop eating 1200 cals and never eat below 1305. He also said to eat back all exercise calories...my question if I do all of this, how will I loose the remaining 20lbs...is there still a deficit built in my day ??

How many Calories to eat?

Can "good" carbs even keep the weight on?
So I've obviously changed my carbs to all good ones, whole wheat, sweet potatoes, brown rice...ect And I measure properly but I'm wondering if my body just HOLDS on to carbs. Is there a way to get through this, or do I just need to lay off the carbs period? Thoughts, anyone?

So I have a HRM (polar FT60). When I first started doing the elliptical machine I could only burn about 400 calories in 60 minutes, then I worked my way up to 600 calories in 60 minutes. Accordion to MFP I can only eat 1200 calories a day to loose 1.6 pounds per week. I have about 50lbs to loose so I am surprised at how low my calorie count is, but I digress.
