Chocolate-Zucchini Muffins Recipe
http://happyherbivore.com/2009/01/chocolate-zucchini-muffins/ I used the King Arthur's white whole wheat flour, and did not add the extra sugar at the end. I also added a quarter cup chocolate chips. I entered them into the data base, and it came up with 122 calories; 26 carbs, 2 fat, 3 protein, and 3 grams of fiber.

Whole wheat cinnamon buns with pictures
I love cinnamon buns. I have been eating a lot of them, and my weight has slowly been creeping up. Also, I need to stop eating white flour. So, I have re-worked the traditional recipe. If you are looking for the ooey, gooey buns, keep looking. I did lighten them up a lot, but then are not real thick with icing dripping…

spinach in food
Several people here make green smoothies and swear up and down that you can't taste the spinach you added to it. I want to make a green meal, and I found some recipes that have pureed spinach added to it. Does it really and truly add no flavor, or does it depend on the food? For instance, I am making green mashed potatoes.…

night exercising/ counting calories?
Who here exercises at night? I just got back from the gym, after doing almost an hour on the treadmill. Is it cheating for me to add this tomorrow rather than today? I saved some calories for my nightly oatmeal, and I really do not feel like consuming over 300 besides the oatmeal now. Thoughts? pro-cons of doing this?

pureed vegetables?
I made chicken soup two days ago. I froze the broth. I have the chicken and vegetables in a separate container in the fridge. I was wondering if I can puree the vegetables (carrots, celery, onion, zucchini, squash) and use them for something. Can them be combined with say ground turkey to make it into burgers that are not…

Artificial sweeteners
I was told by friend (who is also a physician) that aspartame is a carcinogen and to avoid it at all costs. I get a magazine called CURE which is for people with cancer. They ran an article on artificial sweeteners this issue that I would like to share:…

Is it stupid to use your exercise calories ...
for a moon pie? I made moon pies for the kids the other day. Here they are listed at about 220 calories, although the recipe itself said 180. I was on the elliptical trainer for 30 minutes, and I feel I've earned a moon pie. Is that a waste of calories if I have them spend anyway? Does it make a difference if I eat a moon…

Feeling sorry for myself
I don't want to go into details, but today I am feeling very sorry for myself. I just had two pieces of cake. (Yes, they were low fat/low sugar, but still.) I don't want to sabotage my hard work any more than I already have. What do you do when you are feeling down? I usually turn to either chocolate or shopping. Yesterday…
