Times of the day to eat certain foods...
Just wanted to hear some ideas of what times are best for certain foods... Like I've heard its good to have carbs before a workout and protein after a workout, is that true? Are there any other tips out there???

Question about HIIT...
I've been reading articles about this and figuring out exactly what it is; so my question is: can I do this as part of my workout routine? Do 45 min. on the elliptical, 45 min. jogging at 5.8, and 10 min. of HIIT?

Quick fix meals that are healthy....
Hoping to get some ideas of healthy mini-meals that are easy to fix. Mine are pb toast and fruit, and another one is my protein powder smoothie, which consists of yogurt, strawberries, banana, protein powder, 1/2 cup skim milk, ice, and water. Does strength training count for any calories burned?
I lifted weights today for an hour and a half and when I put it in it didn't count for any calories! Is that right???

calories and weight loss....
Okay so I have a little over 600 calories left for the day and I really want to eat Chex Muddy Buddies! I I ate like 400 cal. worth of those would that make it harder for me to lose pounds. Or doesn't it matter? Some people say calories in, calories out. What do you think? Thanks!

I'm 40 and I just ran 8 miles for the first time in my life!
