I've heard it mentioned several times on here and I'm just wondering what it is?

In short, it's going for short intervals at max or near max output then taking a short break (interval) and repeat.
EX: Sprint for 30 seconds, Walk for 30 seconds.
As you progress, it is common to shorten the rest or lengthen the work (NOT BOTH at the same time).0 -

theres some navy seal workout i remember, where you sprint around the track - then stop and do sit ups, then sprint around the track...you just do strength during the rest interval instead of walking / jogging / or resting0 -

So what happens if you do HIIT without the Intervals? Cuz according to my heart rate monitor I'm at 85-99% of my max HRM throughout most of my run.... anywhere from 50 minutes to 2 hours0
