How long should a workout take?
Good morning, I've just started SL 5x5 and love it so far, 1 week in. I'm wondering, though, how long the workouts should take. It seems like I am finished in 20-25 minutes total - which is great, but I'm wondering if I'm forgetting something. Thanks! Pam

Insanity and running/spinning
Hi. I really want to do Insanity but I have been having a hard time doing it along with my running and spinning. Typically I run in the morning every other day and spin on the opposite days. I'd like to add Insanity in the evening, but I haven't been successful yet. Have any of you combined Insanity with running/spinning?…

clean eating store list
Hello, I have begun clean eating this week and feel great! I have read a few of Reno Tosca's books and have some ideas of what I want to pick up from the grocery store. I am wondering what you buy when you go shopping - what helps you on this journey of health? I have the basics - eggs, vegies, fruit - are there other…

Feel like a beast today!
I did a 6-mile trail run, up and down hills in the mountains, dropped off my friend at the parking lot, and did it again! I feel wonderfully spent. That was my Mother's Day present to myself. With three teenagers, I needed it!

huge nsv!
My scale has not moved since I have been on mfp (well, technically it has gone up and done 2 pounds repeatedly). Last night my 17 year old son said that his friend saw me at the gym and said, "Man, she's ripped." What! Not bad for a 45 year old woman. That totally tickled me. I am walking around a little taller now. :)

want to join me? re: logging food
Hi! I want to lose these darn 4-5 pounds. I have been playing with 2 pounds since November. I am going to commit to regularly logging my food every day- have slacked off on that - for 3 weeks. Anyone care to join so we can keep each other accountable? I was going to start tomorrow, but a different post motivated me to…

splitting weight sets
I have added strength training to my routine, and I LOVE it. I have a somewhat silly question. I lift three times a week. I know there are other solutions to my situation, but I specifically need to know if there is any disadvantage in terms of training to doing one set of my workout before my spin class and then do the…

Discouraged....
I have been trying to lose the same 5 pounds for 2 months - losing a pound here, gaining it there. I am at a healthy weight but would like to get off the 5 pounds that I put on since September. I work out a lot and eat pretty well, but I do eat dessert every night - it's the one thing that has helped me keep off the 60…

Vegetable ideas?
Hi, We are big vegetable eaters at our house. We like just about everything, but we prefer it simple and fresh (not frozen) - roasted, steamed, baked, sauteed. No sauces, but we are ok with olive oil, garlic, seasonings. We like to taste the vegetables, not have it hidden behind sauces. I am in a veggie rut. Not sure if it…
