Kelly Holmes HRM: Help please?
Does anyone else have this? Is it accurate? I ask because I have one and I've put in all my stats etc and today I did some running around and football (soccer) practice and after an hour and a half it said I'd burnt 1138kcal!! I'm 87.5kg, and 173cm (13 stone 11/193lbs and 5'8") and I wasn't pushing myself that much. Was…

How is everyone doing?
How are we all doing? I've been off MFP for about a month, but I'm back now. I had a bit of a blip in recovery and just got dragged down by everything. Hope we're all doing ok. ♥

Fundraising Ideas Please?
I'd like to raise money for a few charities this year and wondered if anyone has any ideas of what I could do? I thought about shaving my head but the look on my partner & family's faces kind of makes me think that may not be the best idea I've ever had!

Struggling *maybe triggering*
I have been really struggling with my depression lately, which has come at the worst time as I also have an injury which means I'm unable to exercise at present. Unfortunately for me, depression for me also equates to my ED coming back with a vengance. I'm really struggling; I've completely lost my appetite and when I do…

Scared to Eat?
I'm struggling today. I am kind of hungry, but feel too scared to eat. I'm not sure what's triggered this today. Does anyone else ever get that? I'm going to try and snap out of it and have something, but it's so hard, and it's making me feel quite stressed out.

does warm up and cool down count in total minutes?
I'm just curious how everyone logs everything. If I'm doing BFBM for example, I would do say 4 x 6 minutes circuits plus 10mins extra for warming up & cooling down - do you log the warm up and cool down as part of your total exercise done?

Question about forgiveness
Following a conversation I had today I just wanted other people's thoughts. Do you believe that anything done by a parent is forgiveable because they're a parent (they brought you into this world so anything is forgiveable)? Just curious

Question for runners
I would like to do a sponsored run, & the only ones I can find in Bristol are the Race for Life and the 10K. As I want to choose my own charities I've been thinking about the 10K run, however I am super unfit and have never even run for a bus. Do you think it is possible for me to train and be able to run it by 20th May?

Increasing intake after restricting for a long time
A friend of mine had been eating 400-500 cals daily for a while, but is now trying to recover from an E.D. and asked me for advice re healthy eating. I just had a few questions and wondered if you guys maybe able to help. a) if she starts eating say 1200 straight away, would this mean she'd pile on loads of weight? (I…

Cardio for Upper Body
Hi Everyone. I usually do Jillian Michael's BFBM & 30DS, but I currently am in so much pain with my knees and hips, I just can't do it at the moment. I wondered if anyone could recommend a high impact cardio workout that is upper body and won't kill my hips etc? I really want to work out today, but don't want to make my…

Question about logging exercise on MFP
Hi everyone I recently got the Biggest Loser UK DVD and one of the work outs is cardio but lots of different stuff (obviously not all walking etc) any suggestions as to what I should log it as? I don't think its circuit because it doesn't have weights etc that 30DS does. Thanks, Rain

Exercise before Sleep
Just wondered what opinions are on working out at night/just before bed. My partner works shifts which sometimes means the only time she could work out would be just before bed time. Is this a big deal? Is it a bad thing? Surely better then than never at all right? Also, I sometimes suffer from insomnia. Would it be an…

Logging Exercise
I'm curious as to what you guys log. Do you log things that are part of your normal routine anyway? e.g. I always take my dogs for a long walk every other day. I don't generally log that because it's part of my routine - has been since I got them. What I do log is if I add on an extra 10mins at a brisk pace which I…

I have 1000cals left...
I feel kinda nauseous, but have only eaten around 500cal net today, so I have 1000 cal left. Any suggestions on what I could eat that (hopefully) won't make me chuck my guts, but won't leave me with such a deficit?

Stupid Question about Smoothies
I know this may be a totally stupid question, but our nan made a cranberry, orange juice and honey smoothie, and I have no idea how I'd work out the cals. I mean, she blended fresh cranberries and added OJ and honey. Is it as simple as adding all the ingredients together? Am I just trying to complicate a simple thing?

Hello! :)
Hi everyone. I'm 24 and have Fibro amongst other things and really struggle to lose weight. Really happy to have found a support group who understand how hard exercise is with Fibro. :)

GAAAHHHH!!! - a bit of a rant
I ate almost 4k cals yesterday without realising it. I thought ok - fine, but tomorrow won't be the same. Only problem is this family gorge themselves from Xmas day to NYD. Today I had a large lunch which took up the majority of my cals allowance, and it's now 8.49pm. I am kinda hungry, and they've spread the table with…

How often do you weigh yourself?
Just curious? I used to weigh weekly, it was nice, but frustrating as if I got stuck at a weight for, say, 4 weeks, that's 4 weigh-ins where you're the same. I've been contemplating fortnightly. How often do you all weigh/plan to weigh?

Fasts/Clenses/Detoxing
Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on fasts such as the Master Clense and those kind of detoxes. What do you think about them? Part of me would love to try a fast like a water fast, or something like that, but a little voice tells me that's not a good idea. Just curious for opinions :)

Hey Guys
Hey, I'm Mara, 24 years old from South West England. I was a member here earlier this year, and lost over 28lbs, but then suddenly I wasn't coming on here & I've now put on over 40lbs. I honestly don't know how it happened, there definitely wasn't a thought in my head thinking I'm going to stop, it just kind of happened.…
