Fundraising Ideas Please?

I'd like to raise money for a few charities this year and wondered if anyone has any ideas of what I could do? I thought about shaving my head but the look on my partner & family's faces kind of makes me think that may not be the best idea I've ever had!

You don't need to shave your head to make a contribution. You could simply have a party and ask for donations, maybe in lieu of birthday gifts. I work for a food bank. This past Dec my husband and I had a holiday party and asked our guests to bring non-parishable food or cash that I donated to the food bank. You could have a gararge/yard sale and donate the proceeds. Find a walk/run you could participate in, like a MS Walk, hunger walk, etc.

You could join other groups that are fundraising for the same cause, don't say there aren't any out there because I thought the same thing but if you investigate, you will find some! Participates in Walks/Runs, Bake Sales, Garage Sales, Auctions, Button/Bracelet Sales, Ribbon Sales. There are a ton of different things you can do. Get those magazines for fundraisers (like the chocolate bar ones) and sell chocolate bars, they sell great!

Colleges are always needing tutors for the athletes. The pay isn't great, but if you get a group of people, you can raise quite a bit.

Start a meth lab and donate the proceeds. CVS is usually willing to provide pseudoephedrine at cost, Home Depot has good deals on steel wool, Staples can get lithium batteries by the truckload at a good discount, and I can get you some ammonia pretty much free. That way, you have very little overhead and can maximize your donation potential....
