I ran today!
I am 57 years old. I completed the C25K program in March using the treadmill. Not soon after I hurt my right hamstring. I started the C25K program again in May, but with all of life's events, I was struggling to keep on track. This morning I said to myself, "If I can ride my bike 25 miles, I should be able to run 2 miles."…

Did my first outdoor 3 mile run
After completing the C25K program on the treadmill I moved outdoors and ran 3 miles in just under 30 minutes. Week 6 completed
I finished Week 6 yesterday. I started out at 6.5 mph but my legs were really tired and I did not know why. So I backed it down to 6.0 mph and made it through. Later it dawned on me that I had done 75 squats during the day at work. So I learned not to do weight lifting on my aerobic days and vice versa.

Week 5 Success
I just finished my Week 5. Before I started day 3, I had in my mind that before i was done I would have to lower my speed. But I just kept putting one foot ahead of the other, maintained my speed at 6.5 mph, and did it. What was amazing was that after the first 10 minutes I did not feel like I was fighting a battle and…

Week 1, Workout 1 - Successful!
Well, today I begin my C25K training on the treadmill. While I can literally walk for miles, running does not come so easy, especially at age 57. I did my walk times a 3.5 mph and my run times at 6.5 mph. It wasn't as difficult as I thought it might be. Thanks to the people in this group who offered advice on how to get…
