negative calorie adjustment
I know this has been posted before - but I also did a search but can't find where to adjust the calories burned with my apple watch to show the negative calorie adjustment. For example - I did a workout today and it logged it - but as part of my workout (Orangetheory) I ran on the treadmill - so it is "double counting"…

Jumping in with both feet
I have been here logging everything (yes with a food scale) and have made some progress. I have lost 11 pounds over about 9-10 weeks. :) However - this past week was a realization for me. MFP has given me 1740 calories per day. However - I thought this amount seemed way too high. I mean it didn't feel like I was…

Advice on activity level
I know this seems like a silly question - but I'm curious what others are using. I have a desk job (I am an instructional specialist for a school district). So when I am at a school - I can be on my feet and busy - but when I am in the office - am usually sitting (meetings, etc.). But I do exercise at least twice a week…

TDEE question
I know this has been covered SOO many times so I apologize. I just want to be sure I am understanding it right. When I go on MFP - and gave my stats - it gives me 1810 as my daily calorie goal. But when I went to the site about my TDEE/BMR etc. it suggested I eat about 1705 at least daily. That works because I'm usually…

Body Pump
I was just wondering whether anyone does the Body Pump classes. I know I need to use my HRM. I have the watch part - but can't find the chest strap. But I want to use an accurate count and not the inflated numbers I have found on the site. I remember that back when I used to use it during class I usually burned about…

grip on deadlift
Ok - I know I've seen this before but can't find the posts. I am on Stage 2 - I did Workout 3B today. Anyway - I'm at 95 lbs on my deadlift. It isn't the deadlift that is the problem - but rather the grip on the bar. It keeps trying to slip out of my hands and I have to stop - and put it down mid-set. I think I'd be able…

calories
Ok - beating a dead horse I am sure! :) I just did the calculations for cals using the book - and since I am over 35 and have a BMR over 25 (it is 29.8 I think) I calculated that I should be eating 1652 on nonworkout days and 1928 on workout days. That isn't a problem since currently I have 1700 and usually don't meet it…

Stage 2 and Intervals question
Ok - I'm going to be doing my 2nd Work out B for Stage 2 workout tomorrow. It is the one with intervals. Normally on Saturday morning - I do a kickbox class for an hour (well - closer to 45 minutes) and then go to the weight room to do my NROL4W workout. But as I have been re-reading about Stage 2 with the intervals - I…

Week off after Stage 1
I finished up Stage 1 on Saturday. I was going to take this week off (I do weights on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday) and just do some cardio classes that I never get to do anymore. Anyway - it feels weird to not do any weights so I just wanted to see what everyone else does on their week between stages. Sherry

question
Ok - I only weigh once a week on Wednesday - last Wednesday (13th) I had gained .6 lbs. I didn't freak out because I had just upped my cals from 1600 to 1700 that past week. But this week I gained 3 lbs! :) I was irritated and mad - but still stayed on plan and did everything as normal. But because I tend to be psycho…

C25K question
Ok - I have a question and I want an honest answer - and not just what you think I want to hear please! :) I started the C25K program a few weeks ago - and was running 3x per week and doing the run no problems through Week 3. I started Week 4 this past week and it has definitely been much harder for me. In fact - I have…

5K tomorrow
Ok - I'm doing a 5K tomorrow. I have done them before - and just take my time and usually walk them and finish in about an hr. However- I am in the middle of the C25K program. I'm on Week 3 now - in fact - I'm using tomorrow as my Week 3 - Day 3 workout. So you people that run - since I don't qualify as that yet - what do…

Question
Ok - my weigh in day is Wednesday. I only step on the scale one day a week. Last week I weighed 188.2 - which was an increase from the previous week which was 186.8. I was bummed - but not totally because of reading all of the posts here about sometimes gains happening. I started lifting heavy that week before too - so I…

Ok - I gained
For the first time since increasing my cals over a month ago. The new part is I dropped doing 2x week Body Pump classes and am doing the NROL4W workouts 3x week instead. I am hoping that is what it is - even though I'm not sore at all! Yay! But it wasn't much of a gain - so I immediately was ticked - but went and put on…

BMR question
Ok - I know not to eat under BMR - but my question is which value does everyone go by for their BMR. According to fat 2 fit, scooby, and fitness frog my BMR is around 1580 - but according to NROL4W - my BMR is closer to 1380 ish - so I've been losing steadily (not more than a lb but losing every single week) - so I decided…

transitioning from body pump to NROLFW
Ok - today at the gym I did my first NROLFW workout. I was able to do all of the workouts and so far am feeling pretty good. I have been doing weight training in the form of the Les Mills Body Pump classes 2x a week. So it felt weird to be done in 30 minutes today instead of an hour. Anyway - I think starting Monday I'll…
