silver sneakers
Hubby and I just got our Silver Sneakers cards and are wondering if it's worth joining some programs. We have a treadmill and weight bench at home that I (not so much hubby) use regularly so I'm not sure if I want to join a group thing. Also has anyone joined the online Silver Sneakers program and if so have you found it…

Protein powder in hot drinks
I have been trying to get more protein by using a little protein powder here and there. It's good added to oatmeal. This morning I added some vanilla protein powder to a SF NF mocha and it was delicious. I don't like cold protein drinks in the winter so wanted to try a hot one. Anyone have any good suggestions for other…

loose or tight?
After I put on a smaller pair of still tight pants this morning I thought to myself, wow, I can't eat much with these pants on. I also love wearing my too big loose pants because they remind me how much I have lost and I feel good about that. I'm just wondering what everyone prefers--tight to help limit food quantity and…

Detailed nutritional information
I was searching a certain food and came across this site that gives very detailed information about each food as well as other good information. I don't know how large the data base is. When you input a food it gives all the nutritional info plus a fullness factor, the Glycemic load, a rating for how healthy it is, the…

http://www.infowars.com/aspartame-is-linked-to-leukemia-and-lymphoma-in-new-landmark-study-on-humans/ Hubby was recently diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. I've been doing a lot of research on the disease. This study caught my attention because he was a heavy diet coke drinker, probably 5-6 cans a day for at least 20…

mini thurs
Since Cali is away I will suggest something. How about we all eat a lot of anti-oxidants today--things like broccoli, blueberries, blackberries, grapes, red wine, low sugar dark chocolate etc if they fit in your eating plan. Feel free to add to the list.

Hi All, I would like to request that when you post a recipe that you include a link to the source if it is available online. That way those of us who use Pinterest for our recipes can pin it with an image. Or if you include an image in the post we can pin it from MFP. Thank you!

mini Sat. 9-8
Ok ladies, how about we work our biceps today with 1-2 sets of bicep curls. You can use free weights, barbell, milk cartons, anything you can hold onto that is heavy enough. You can do them sitting or standing, both arms at the same time or one at a time. Just be sure to go slowly and use as heavy of a weight as you can…

Fri mini
Since Cali isn't around today I will suggest an exercise. How about lateral leg raises. You do them lying on your side or standing, with or without ankle weights or an elastic band. Just do as many as you can and do them slowly for maximum benefit.

http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2012/03/29/copycat-recipe-reeses-peanut-butter-eggs/ I just made these with a few modifications. Eating in the car
Anyone else have a problem with eating in the car? I bought some Terra Sweet Potato Apple Chips at my discount grocer today (3 bags for $1) and since I had never tried that flavor I opened a bag to taste while driving. Before I realized it I had eaten about a third of the bag. If I hadn't stopped and put them in the back I…

Suggestions--food from India
We have a new Indian Grocery store near us and I wandered around in it today and had no idea what most of the food was. package size
Does anyone else do this: I tend to use more food out of a large package than a small one, for example, I used to buy shredded cheese at Costco and would use it by the handfull so it didn't get wasted, but now I get small packages at the grocery store and use a lot less at a time. I found this true of a lot of products…

golf burn
MFP gave me 1500 calories burned for 4 hours of golf riding in a cart--can that be right? Seems way too high. Should I change it to what I think I actually walked--maybe about .75 miles? Our course is till really wet so a lot of holes we have to keep the cart on the paths.
