Question on my calories
I'm a female, 5'9 @ 251lb, 37 y/o. I've been logging since January and total loss is 12.2lb so far. Exercise is not consistent, but staying around my daily 1620 calories is. Trouble is the weight loss has stalled, I got a food scale and have been weighing my proteins. What I WANT to do is adjust my calories lower to get…

does it really matter? weights or cardio first?
i have about 60+ more lbs to lose, and i love weight training and cooperate that with my cardio workouts 3 of the 5 days per week. does it make a difference as to what your goals are? would it really matter if i've been doing cardio first? i don't feel like my form is compromised.. thanks in advance MFP

NSV on the elliptical today
i never do any 2 workouts the same, varying from 20-45 minutes each day, with day-to-day adjusting the crossramp and resistance- but today on my way to the gym i set in my mind i will do 10 crossramp and 20 on resistance ( i've tried 20 and 20 before and can only do in 2 min increments). well I TOTALLY KNOCKED IT OUT for…

"fat burn" heart rate
hey- so i have an issue with this.. is this BS or for real? my HRM says my fat burn rate should be 137, yet it seems like i am always higher than that thru the majority of my workouts, like i'm talking 150-170s. it seems like the 137 is reached when i'm warming up, basically, and it doesnt seem like much of a challenge. so…

i can't believe it. it wasn't painful, and i thought to myself, "is this what running feels like?" it felt SO good. even though it took me about 17 minutes, but that's another success for me, as before i couldn't even run 2 minutes. my ultimate goal is to run a half marathon in april :noway: gonna prove to myself that i…

thoughts on how big your exercise changes are
hey- was just curious how big of a change you guys do so you keep out of a rut and see continuous changes.. for example, like is it taking 10 or 15 min of your normally 30 min elliptical routine and doing the bike or treadmill? or is it switching exercise all together? only on some days? alternating cardio workouts??? as…
