Sale Prices?
I need advice from pro shoppers lol. What is considered good pricing for meats per lb? Can anyone suggest a ballpark range I should be looking for. It seems just because the word "sale" is on it doesn't really mean its a good price. I know it can be different depending on where you live...but even if you have any tips on…

So I made spaghetti squash with regular red spaghetti meat sauce tonight....while eating it though I kept thinking that the squash would probably taste really good with some kind of really sweet sauce...like maybe a buttery, cinnimony sugar sauce? No idea...I'm just in weird land. haha So has anyone made any kind of sweet…

Am I really supposed to be jogging so slow?
I had to majorly slow down my jog today for day 2 of C25K. (Day one 1 about died) I tried the "pledge of allegiance" test, and in order for me to jog & talk at the same time...well...I was really really slow. It felt more like a bouncy walk than a jog. My husband says thats what a jog is...a bouncy walk. But I…

Sore chest & back after jogging?
Just started C25K. I did a "practice" one, and then officially started yesterday. Today my chest and back are really sore when I breath. Did this happen to anyone else when they started jogging? I'm assuming its because I'm not used to breathing that hard, and maybe I over worked some muscles in there, but still its…

Beef & Broccoli - 198 calories
Made this for dinner tonight. Was a bit disappointed because when I found the recipe it said it had under 200 grams of sodium....soooo not the case. I even used a homemade soy sauce (I'll include that recipe too) that's 100 times lower than low sodium store bought soy sauce the recipe wants you to use, and it was still…

March Walking Challenge - join in :)
This is continued from the January and February Walking Challenge, but its nice when each month has its own thread. Walking seems like the easiest way to start getting exercise, and even if you can't track distance (or don't want to), tracking time is good too...go for a 10 min walk after dinner, or up it to 30…

How to figure out homemade refried beans calories?
Okay, so I'm confused. The 1 lb bag of dry pinto beans says 90 calories for 1/4 cup dry (13 servings per bag)....so that equals 3 1/4 cups dry. But then in the directions part of the bag it says 1lb dry beans = 2 cups dry..... So is it 3 1/4 cups or 2 cups? I'm not planning on adding anything to the beans...so just beans…

Baked Fries - Prep & Freeze too *pics*
I love making baked french fries (because I really really missed fries when I started watching my calories)....but sometimes I wish I could just throw them in the oven and go from there (like you can when you get frozen fries from the store!), instead of having to peel, cut them up, etc etc.... I just found this on how to…

Question for married people.....
Does your spouse ever seem uncomfortable with your weight loss? Like does it seem like you losing weight makes them insecure? This is continued from the January Walking Challenge, but thought February it needed its own thread. Need a new scale? Me too!
I've been putting off getting a new scale for a while. I tried just changing the batteries, but after a week it started jumping all over the place again (I'm talking like a 5lb difference in a matter of a few minutes). So I would weigh myself like 10 times, and either take the number that came up most, or average it…

10 steps to Freedom from Emotional Eating (binge eating)

Low sodium imitation crab (brand names?)
I like adding imitation crab, or "crab flavored seafood" to my salads (Or at least I did!), but the brands I seem to find are SUPER high in sodium. Like 800 grams a serving :( Does anyone know of a lower sodium brand? If you do can I get the brand name and where you buy it? Thanks a million!
