Sugar vs. Sweeteners

Question on "extra" weekly calories
I used to be on WW and you had weekly points to use after you used your daily points if you wanted. Something to give you a little extra freedom. I noticed MFP doesn't have that. Does anyone give yourself so many extra calories a week to play with? If so, how many and how do you keep track of it?

I don't want to go buy the book just to answer the one quesion, i have enough "healthy/diet, etc" books. Just curious because I saw someone posted one of the rules was to not eat carbs after lunch. Does this mean no fruit either? I know fruit is normally higher in carbs

After all the times you "tried' to lose weight and went back into your old ways, what was it that finally made you say "this time I'm really doing it"? I went to try on shorts yesterday because none of my ones fit...I went from a 4 to a 10 (at the same store, same style) in less than 6 months! That is when I said, enough…

Has anyone ever mixed up the schedule and still lost weight/saw results? What I mean is, maybe only do it 3 days a week and walk/jog the other days?

Missed Workouts
When you miss several workouts during one of the weeks, do you just start that week over the next week or do you move on to the next week? this happened to both my boyfriend and I this past week.

Is a calorie burned a calorie burned?
I've been doing insanity and I only burn around 300 calories. When I walk 3 miles or 1 hour, I burn 300 calories. Does a calorie burned affect you the same way no matter how you do it?

Weight and Measurements
when did you start seeing results with insanity? I don't expect a quick fix but the scale isn't moving and my clothes aren't getting any loser. I'm in week 2. Just curious so I can keep some motivation that it will happen eventually!

Protein/Recovery Powder
Right now I'm doing Insanity and they keep talking about drinking your recovery formula (protein powder). Is this necessary? I have some, I just don't want the calories, but will if my muscles really do need it. Thoughts?

I'm looking into starting a group. there is a group with a 4/1 start date and a 4/30 start date, so it is kind of wierd being in the middle because you are going through totally different things depending on which week you are on. anyone interested?

First Week
Did anyone feel completely famished and a little overheated during the first week of this? I talked to my trainer last night and she told me I need to keep my heart rate a little lower than what I'm letting it get to (hovering around 85%-90% the entire time).
