Mixing up insanity schedule

Has anyone ever mixed up the schedule and still lost weight/saw results? What I mean is, maybe only do it 3 days a week and walk/jog the other days?

This is my first go round and after 3 weeks my body literally didn't want to do it anymore, so I thought of toning it down and mixing it up a little....
