What is your favorite piece of equipment and why?
I have a home gym and am looking to add another piece to it - I love my treadmill and elliptical - I've put many, many miles on each and use them quite often. I'm looking for one more piece of equipment to replace the weights in the corner that never get used. I also have a big ball in the corner of my room that I use now…

Fish Oil Capsules vs Krill Oil
Anyone try either of these? I've been told that fish oil gives a bad aftertaste? I think if I burped something that had a fish smell/taste it would make me literally sick. Does anyone have experience with this? Any certain brand names recommended? For those who have taken one or the other, do you notice a difference in…

HITT training and your heart's bpm
For those who do HIIT training: I was considering purchasing a beachbody series that had a lot of HIIT training incorporated into it. However, I have a heart condition and my bpm are sporatic and can reach high numbers by doing little work. (over 200 bpm). When you do HIIT training, what does your (normal) heart beat do…

Do you remember how you felt at your heaviest?
Physically, I don't remember how I felt besides feeling the rolls of fat on my sides and feeling weighed down. I remember stretching my XL shirts just so I wouldn't have to wear XXL (when I should have been!!) I also remember when I'd get a picture of myself taken, I'd squeeze my thighs together and put one in front of the…

Ok...so this is day 3 of using my HRM while running on my treadmill and I really, really could use your help. 1. Sobe Lifewater
I love this stuff...especially the black and blueberry. I see there are no artificial sweeteners and 0 calories....so what's the catch ? I see there are carbs in it (15 of them in one bottle). Anything else I should know? I have been drinking quite a bit of it. :drinker:

Reteaching yourself not to eat everything on your plate
How do you do it? I'm not sure why I have it programmed in my mind, but I have that mindset. I am fine when I eat at home - since I just give myself smaller portions - so I can eat everything and it's fine since I'm eating far less than what I used to. HOWEVER, when we go out to eat, I cannot get past the mindset of…

Improper breathing during exercise = high bpm??
Just trying to figure some things out and had a question for those exercise hard, especially those who run. My hr is very high for my age/etc, while exercising; however, it shoots way down when I inhale a deep breath and exhale a few times while running. I've noticed I do not breath big at all when I run and wonder if this…

Before MFP...name a bad food habit you'd like to admit...
I had some horrible food habits before joining MFP. It's time to confess... I remember I would get a big order of french fries and then squirt about 3-4 tablespoons worth of ketchup next to them. Pour (about 1/2 tsp) SALT into my ketchup and then massivly sprinkle it on top of the fries and eat. When I'd get low on my…

Higher than normal hr = more cals burned...ADVISE PLEASE
So I'm about 30 days stuck at this weight and this week I gained a little, so it's time to ask this question that even my nutritionist today didn't know how to answer. I'm so frustrated. Found out that when I exercise, my heart rate (per HRM) is very high. Finding out so far that nothing is wrong, waiting for test results…
