I have a home gym and am looking to add another piece to it - I love my treadmill and elliptical - I've put many, many miles on each and use them quite often. I'm looking for one more piece of equipment to replace the weights in the corner that never get used. I also have a big ball in the corner of my room that I use now and then for sit ups, etc...looking for some sort of new equipment though.
What is your favorite piece of equipment and why?

On the expensive side, I love the multi-stack cable machines. There are so many different muscle groups and compound movements you can do with a simple cable stack and the right handle attachments, it makes it very useful and versatile. On the inexpensive end, assuming I've already got dumbbells of sufficient selection, I like the decline bench. Again it's pretty versatile and opens up a number of possible exercises for upper, lower and abs. Finally on the cheap end, a swiss ball is another versatile tool. You can target just about any muscle group with body weight exercises on the ball. Add in additional weights and you can take those exercises even farther. Many compound movements and the forced use of stabilizers really makes it a cool little tool.0

I LOVE my Eliptical. I love it because it gives me the sense of running (Which I can't do) without the pain! It burns tons of calories and I can watch my husband "Judge Keven Ross" on tv while working out. LOL0

You really need no equipment to get into good shape. But if you just want to add something useful, consider a magic circle - some call it a fitness ring. They're cheap and you can buy them anywhere, online or offline. And, they really work your legs, chest and arms --- all the muscles really. You can really tone up with one plus they take up very little room. Just make sure to get a good one. They're not all created equal.0

Definitely my gnarly old Soloflex I bought twenty years ago. Still use it for a dozen different types of pull-ups, dips, incline and decline crunches. It's indestructable.0
