Fitbit Alta HR - does it track flights of stairs?
My Fitbit Ultra died so I had to replace and wanted one I could wear on my wrist. Now I don't appear to have any flights of stairs - do you know if this model tracks that and how I could turn it on? I tried fitbit.com but the questions there weren't very helpful...

Country Farms Super Greens Berry Blend powder
If you have tried this, do you have a favorite combination that you mix this with? I have used various protein shakes as a way of supplementing to reach my daily protein goal (I'm not a big fan of meat) so they are helpful in that respect. I've tried mixing with almond milk and greek yogurt and liked that. Any other…

Fitbit - does the location of the device alter your number of steps and thus calories burned?
I have the Fitbit Ultra and my holster recently broke. I used to wear it underneath tops but since I don't have a holster for it, I now tuck the device into my sock. It seems that lately my calories burned has been higher than before but nothing in my day to day activities has changed. Does it make a difference where you…

Anytime Fitness - personal trainers - thoughts?
I have a membership with Anytime Fitness and recently had an assessment with a personal trainer. The gym advertised free access to personal trainers but as that turns out, it really means that you can approach them and ask how to use the equipment but if you want 1:1 time, you have to pay for that (that may be obvious to…

Vitamix - reviews, do you use to make bread?
I recently watched a demonstration of the Vitamix 500 and was very impressed and like the idea of eating healthier. I read some past posts about this but wanted to find people who didn't want one but already had one and if so, if you thought it was worth the money. Also, the blender is supposed to be able to chop nuts,…

Relora
I met with a rep at my health club tonight and she was touting the benefits of taking Relora. It's part of a program where you have to commit to coming in to get weighed 2x/week, meet with nutritionist, they take your measurements, review a food diary you are required to keep everyday (tracking fat grams only) as well as…

Daily goals
When you are evaluating your food diary and choices for the day, do you focus mainly on calories or the individual other goals (calcium, carbs, fat, sodium, etc.)? If you do the individual categories, do you evaluate on a daily basis or weekly basis? i've been on MFP for 7 months and up until now haven't been focused on…

best exercise for making waist smaller?
I am within 10-15 pounds of my eventual goal weight and one of the things I'd like to get back is a smaller waist. I am not familiar with weight lifting so when people recommend things like "do lats" I have no idea what that means. Are there specific exercises that I can do to help strengthen the muscles but assist in…

Macronutrients - are they the same for everyone?
I've been on MFP for 3 months and have seen lots of posts regarding what the "ideal" split of protein/fats/carbs. Several posted that 40% carbs, 30% proteins, and 30% fats is what your day should look like. Is that true for everyone (regardless of size or height)? Just confused because my "chart" comes up differently with…

Ab Climber - how would you log this?
I bought an Ab Climber for my birthday last year but am not sure how to log the exercise. There is nothing in the database for "step workout" so do I log it as walking? Elliptical? Just not sure - I have to burn 200 calories before I go to bed tonight!

Fitbit Ultra
Just bought a new Fitbit Ultra on ebay and I'm having some problems getting it to install. The website says it doesn't recognize the tracker. For any of you who have a Fitbit, have you had this problem? Is the problem my charger not working? Just frustrated...I was so excited to purchase this and frustrated that I can't…

What foods do you eat to get your macros in?
In looking at several posts, I have noticed that many have recommended a combination of 40% carbs/30% protein/30% fat. What combination of foods do you eat to get close to that? It seems like on any given day I am way off that combination. Either carbs is significantly over 40% or protein is or significantly less. Does…

Heart Rate Monitors - calculate calories
After watching the message boards here and discussions about how helpful people found HRMs, I purchased one thinking that would help me track my calories for walking and general lawn work, etc. But I can't figure out how you find out calories burned - this just appears to track heart rate. It's a New Balance HRM, $60 at…
