Which machine lies?
While using equal efforts, I burn WAY more calories on the elliptical vs. treadmill. On the treadmill I get much more tired (red faced, lungs burn, etc) but burn less cals. Is this just poor cardio? Or does running, though more effort, burn less calories? I know I should be using a HRM, BUT I currently cannot afford it.…

Just curious as to your thoughts... I have seen some people do lots of cardio and eat low calories to drop weight, then increase cals and and start lifting to tone up. Can anyone tell me their opinion on this? Is doing weights and cardio together better?
