Steel cut oats in baking

Has anyone tried replacing regular rolled oats with steel cut in recipes? Specifically squares, cookies, etc. Will they still turn out?

    Yes!!! My friend taught me how to break them down in my Healthmaster (u can use a bullet, food processor, blender, etc.) I use them like flour.....they work for cookies, pancakes, waffles, everything!!!!

    Update: Tried it and worked well! Gave a nutty flavour almost. Would recommend :)
