Just curious as to your thoughts... I have seen some people do lots of cardio and eat low calories to drop weight, then increase cals and and start lifting to tone up. Can anyone tell me their opinion on this? Is doing weights and cardio together better?

Unless one of your goals is muscle loss, start lifting weights.0

It depends on what your goals are and what you are trying to accomplish. If you want to be an endurance athlete then yes lots of cardio is the way to go. If you want to do lean and mean then strength training should be your primary focus. The amount of cardio you will need to do with strength training to burn body fat off will depend on the amount of exercise you do and your daily diet.0

agreed. anyone not lifting should have started last thursday. as for cardio, ideally you should do it on separate days from the lifting0
