How many cashews in an ounce?

I am looking online and it says everywhere from 16 to 28. That's a big difference! I don't have a scale but they were just normal unsalted cashews

    I'm not sure on cashews, but I'd go with 16. Almonds are about 20-23 in an ounce.

    It's about 1/4 c. (however many that equals)

    doesn't it tell you on the packaging? my almonds are @ 28 nuts per ounce.

    i just had a small handful of a friends at work and they were out of a bulk bag. i guess being a few off wont kill me!

    The bag I ate today said 25 whole pieces.
