How to set calories back to default
I changed my daily calorie goal manually but now it has stayed that way for every day from now on. I want to go back to the default amount that the app figures out for me. Anyone know how to do this?

Lightly Active Activity Setting
I set my activity setting to lightly active because I walk my dog daily but not very far. Does anyone know how much daily activity MFP considers “lightly active”?

Full Fat Dairy for Low Carb Diet Only?
On low carb diets or keto diets, it seems acceptable (and healthy) to eat full fat dairy (among other full fat foods). If a person is not eating low carb, is eating full fat dairy not a good idea health wise then?

Dietitians say counting calories bad
I see many dietitians (on TikTok) say counting calories is a really bad idea and can cause an eating disorder. I do find that when I count calories I’m hyper focused on food but feel in control like I’m doing something about my weight. BUT when I’m counting calories I also feel out of control and want to binge. I want to…

Activity Level

Feeling out of Control
I have a huge mental struggle with counting calories. I want to keep track of my calories, but then when I do, my thought is “I’m not letting this app tell me how many calories I can have.” And then start to binge because I went over my allowed amount. But if I don’t count calories, I feel out of control not knowing how…

Trader Joe’s Lite Shredded Mozzarella
Trader Joe’s will be out of my favorite light shredded mozzarella cheese until 2020 😩 Does anyone have suggestions for light/low-fat shredded cheese? TJ’s is only 45 calories and 3 grams of fat per 1 Oz (⅓ cup)

Calories Only vs Keto, Macros
So much talk about Keto Diet, Counting Macros, etc. Is there anyone who has lost weight just counting calories only and eating whatever they want as long as it was within your calorie goal? I almost feel like it’s impossible 😕

Why I left Weight Watchers new "Freestyle" Program
I left WW this week because the new "Freestyle" program just will not work for me. I have lost over 20 pounds on their smartpoints program. WW used to be about flexibility and being able to eat foods you like as long as it fit into your point range. With this latest change, they added 200 food items that are zero points,…

Counting Calories Only
So is anyone not looking at anything but their calories to lose weight? Can I ignore all of the protein, carbs, etc and just focus on the calories only?

Keep bouncing between MFP and WW App
I couldn't stand WW Freestyle so found an app where I can still do just smartpoints. Then I find myself thinking MFP will work better so go back to MFP...but then have doubts MFP will work. Why do I keep doing this to myself?! :'(

Trust the Process?
Why can't I just trust the process? Now that I am using MFP of course I am reading about health coaches, fitness trainers, etc. who disagree with MFP and say the calorie amount (calculation) they give to a person is way too low. They don't agree with MFP calculations for people. Can someone who has lost a good amount of…

Carb vs Calorie Range
If I only pay attention to my carb totals on MFP and ignore when I go over my calorie range (but stay below my carb range) will I still lose weight? Has anyone tried this?

Should I leave Weight Watchers back to MFP?
Hello, I have been with WW for awhile now and am down over 20 pounds (just to get this out of the way, I am not concerned about having to pay for membership fees). They just changed the program (AGAIN) and I am more of a picky eater, so this new program will be much tougher for me seeing as I don't eat lentils, chickpeas,…

Fearful of trying to just gain it back
How do you get past wanting to give up for fear of just gaining it back again anyway? Only 5% of people actually keep the weight off...so I tell myself, why bother trying. :(

Recording Dinner Calories Advice
Anyone have good advice for recording dinner calories? I feel like I do so well recording breakfast/lunch/snacks but when it comes to figuring out calories for dinner I just don't do it. It's mostly because it's lasagna or a casserole etc and too much work to figure it out with portions.

Good Workout DVD's for heavier person

Anyone use MFP to track but weigh in at WW?
Do any of you use MFP to track calories but still go to Weight Watchers meetings to weigh in/attend meetings (not using points at all)? I want to use MFP to track my calories but I really want to have those meetings/accountability and MFP does not offer in person weigh ins/meetings.

Weight Watchers "Smartpoints" Refugee
I cancelled my WW membership last night. I just couldn't wrap my brain around the new smartpoints program and was rebelling against it because I could no longer eat what I wanted without it being off the charts in points value. I am so hopeful MFP will work for me!

Why do I do this to myself?
Weighed in today and was the same as last week. That's ok, it was better than gaining. So tonight for dinner I decided I needed to go out for dinner and have a burger and deep fried cheese curds. Then come home and eat 3 large slices of cinnamon bread for "desert". Feeling disgusted with myself. It sounded so good and then…

MFP "Meetings/Weigh In" similar to Weight Watchers
One of the things I like about Weight Watchers is the weekly in person meetings and weigh ins. Does anyone know of any MFP members who have local meetings or has anyone tried starting local meetings? I think it would be a great idea!

Skinnygirl Protein Shakes
Just found a great protein shake! It's Skinnygirl Protein shake comes in vanilla or chocolate. It's a really big bottle 11.5 fl oz and is only 80 calories has 12g of protein, 0g sugar, 3g fiber and 5g carbs. I can actually pronounce the ingredients as well, not full of "chemicals". Keeps me really full! They are only sold…

Weight Watchers while using MFP
I am a Weight Watchers member and have been really enjoying it and losing weight...until they switched to smartpoints. I am so disheartened with the whole change for 2016. My problem is I love my leader and my meetings/weigh-in. I've been thinking about using MFP to track my calories (and forego points system) but still go…
