Modified Shred?
I was doing the 30 Day Shred when I hurt my ankle a couple of weeks ago. I want to start up again, but my Dr said that the bones are misaligned in my feet (probably due to 4 pregnancies) and that I need to stick to low impact to avoid further injury. Has anyone tried to modify the shred to make it lower impact? I know that…

Cardio vs Strength Training
Does it make any difference whether you do cardio or strength training first? One trainer said that I should do strength training first so I wasn't as tired and could give more effort. Another trainer said that I should do cardio first so that my muscles were warmed up and could give better performance. Does it make a…

Surviving with Children . . . Part 2
The last time I asked a question about survivng with children I got a lot of responses talking about keeping my children healthy eating habits. So my new question is, What do you eat? What do you serve your family? How do you make it kid friendly? What's for dinner?

Surviving With Children
The way it often happens: I get going doing what I need to do. Eating healthy, excercising, drinking my water. I follow a pretty strict "alternative eating lifestyle" in which processed flour and sugar have no part. Then my little son, 8 years old, comes home feeling particularly generous and decides to surprise me by…

calories burned
How do you track your calories burned? I don't have a heart rate monitor. My treadmill always says that I've burned about twice as much as MFP lists with the time and speed.

What Will You Gain?
I recently saw a Special K commercial that asked "What will you gain when you lose the weight?" I was curious about what others wanted to gain by losing? I'd like to gain energy, enthusiasm, confidence, and I'd really like to have more clothes that fit!

Is This Scale Broken?
I'm asking for a little encouragement this morning. I gained 2 lbs last week after my knee surgery. I am unable to exercise, but I have been sticking to my food plan and staying within my calories. I thought that since I am back on my feet (sort of) and hobbling around that the 2 lbs would come off and I would start losing…

Just for fun-Infomercials
I enjoy watching infomercials when I can't sleep. Isn't it great to watch and imagine that you can actually reshape your body in 3 minutes. I never buy the things, just watch the shows. Has anyone ever bought something really really good or really really bad from an infomercial?

Tracking food
All of the food I eat, I measure in ounces, not in serving size. Is there anyway to convert without taking the extra time to find out how many cups 12 oz of veggies or 2 oz cheese would equally. I'm also wondering if the pasta measurements are dry or cooked?

New to my fitness
Hi! My name is Kate. I'm new to my fitness. I'm struggling to find my motivation right now. A little about me: I'm a stay at home Mom of 4 young children. I have had success in the past with eating healthy and exercising, but I've always gotten pregnant and thus ended all of my good intentions. I worked really hard to lose…
