Does anyone work out with kettle bells? If so, which workouts do you like?

I don't have kettlebells, but I love the "Shred It" by Jillian Michaels. I use a dumbbell in place of the kettlebell.0

I love mine. I don't know all the names of the ones I do, they are off the DVD that came with the Kettlebell. I used the DVD until I knew all the moves on it and know I do it without.0

Can someone please explain to me what makes a kettle bell so different from a dumbell. I've seen em but don't quit understand what's to rave about?0

I use kettle bells for added weight during squats. Since this is the only exercise I use it for, I can only explain the difference between these and dumbbells in respect to why I use a kettle bell instead of a dumbbell - is that the handle makes it easier for the body position - technically, I believe you could use either, but the shape and weight distribution in a kettle bell makes it easier / different results for different exercises.0

A little info on kettlebells. I use them, but never looked it up.

I found out about them through Men's Fitness a few weeks ago. I dread my kettlebell days, but have noticed big differences within the two weeks I have used them. Great for strenght and weight loss (which I check once per week, and tomorrow I update some results). Here is a link to the workouts I use them for (also explains theory on why they work different than dumbells)...

Its men's health, but Google should be able to point you towards other ideas too. Good luck.0 -

I watched Biggest Loser last night and saw them working out with Kettlebells. I'm thinking they should help with bat wings, so I'm going to buy one and start using it. Now to get my DVD player hooked up to my TV so I can get some videos and work out with them.0

I think the way they are designed makes it easier to do the exercise. You can hold on to it better than a regular weight. I guess you just have to try it to understand. It is worth the investment!!!0

I just got on the kettlebell bandwagon today! I was inspired by something I read in this month's issue of SELF magazine. They had pull out exercise cards and a companion video demonstrating how to do the exercises.

The magazine said to do 3 sets of whatever reps were recommended on nonsconsecutive days. Here are some tips on how to use it.

I got a GoFit 10lb kettlebell to start.0 -
I use follow-along workout dvds when I do a kbell workout. I like Lauren Brooks Vol. 1 & 2 and have even heard great things about her pregnancy one called Baby Bells. I really love my Art of Strength Newport dvd though!0
