Nauseous after working out??

Hungry!
I have been doing great for the past weeks, eating well and working out. For the past two days I have been starving!!! It feels like I can't even wait three hours to eat. I drink about two liters of water daily so I am trying to not give in.

Help me understand!!
I have noticed that many people are working out and not eating their extra calories. To my understanding if you work out you should be eating more, wouldn't you go into starvation mode if you are eating less than 1200 calories a day??
