Sit-Ups After Surgery
I had abdominal surgery back in November (2013) for Umbilical Hernia and Gallbladder removal.... I feel great but I'd like to firm up my "spare-tire" area. Will sit-ups help and should even I attempt them?

I started using MFP about one year ago, but my first official weigh-in wasn't until February 2, 2013 because we didn't own a scale... I guessed at my weight when I first started and was ASTONISHED when I saw the needle spin past 200...250... and all the way around to 350lbs. I knew I was a big guy.. hell... strangers…

Post Surgery Core-Strengthening
Hey MFP's.... I was recently hospitalized to have an emergency surgery to have my gallbladder removed (who knew losing weight would cause an organ to give up?!) and while they had me under, they repaired my umbilical (belly button) hernia. I've been living with it for a few years and it never really bothered me, except…

50lbs in 5 Months - Pics
I started using MFP during the second week of January, but didn't purchase a scale until February 1st. It took me a day to build the courage to actually step on the scale and to my shock and horror I weighed 350lbs. I've been sitting behind a desk for the past 13 years as a graphic designer. When I started I was 20 and…

Tired of hearing "Hey Big-Guy!"
I know people don't mean to offend when they say that, but I hear that about once a month from complete strangers... don't they realize that that's not ok to say?! So yeah.. tired of hearing "Hey Big Guy"... if I was totally ripped, I wouldn't mind. But instead, I'm 32, 309lbs and no where NEAR being close to ripped... one…

NSV - Kids
I workout in the basement in the kids "play room"... there's a TV set up down there and I'll ride the elliptical with some crunchy metal blaring in my ear-buds while the kids watch Lilo & Stitch for the 110th time... anyway, the other night, I'm weight lifting down there and my daughter, who's 4, jumps on the elliptical…

Hello from Northwest Indiana
Hey there... My name is Mark, I'm 32, married and a daddy of two kiddos (4 & 2). I've struggled with my weight my entire life and as of January of this year, I was at my heaviest at over 350lbs. Today, 5 months later, I'm 313lbs. I started using MFP by a recommendation of my buddy Stingeroo who's lost an amazing 200lbs…
