In Place of a Roadmap- http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 I have read this article quite a few times, and I am still confused about a few things. I know this article will be of great help once I do understand everything it contains. Can anyone who has read it and…

The Most You've Ever Gone Over By Is...?
I hope no one will get offended with me for starting this thread. I had a really bad day with my eating yesterday (it was a cheat day that ended up going overboard!) and I didn't log it so that no one could see how bad it was. But I know that part of the reason we MFPals log is to be accountable... So I confess that…

MFP Activity Level Question
I'm quite confused about what it really means when MFP asks you what your activity level is when you're setting your goals. When asked about what your activity level is (i.e sedentary, lightly active etc), is this asking about your lifestyle OUTSIDE of exercising? For example, if you have a lifestyle where you basically…

Question about protein shakes?
Hi guys, So sorry if this question sounds terribly amateurish, but does it make a difference whether you drink a protein shake before or after a workout? For example, let's say I only drink one protein shake per day. If I drank it before my workout, would it serve to cover the wear and tear that my muscles would be about…

Insanity Month One Calories Burned
Hey guys! I just started Insanity this morning and I can tell I'm gonna love/hate this workout :) I need some help please though. I'm saving up to buy a really good quality HRM but until then I have to estimate my calories burned. Since Insanity is so intense I know it's important that I don't drastically understate these…

Advice for Insanity
I know this is quite a common thread, but I would like to start another. I am thinking of starting Insanity. I have been working out for almost six months now, starting out with the easier turbo jam exercises, then the harder ones, then moving on to the 30 Day Shred, then my own circuit training and now Jillian Micheal's…

"I don't have time and I have medical issue."
"I have poly- cystic ovaries which means thyroid issues... According to medical research it is 10% harder for people with pcos to lose weight because of all the internal issues." A friend of mine told me that this, accompanied by the fact that she has a lot of commitments such as work and uni, is the reason why she can't…

I cheated... again
I always feel really really bad after I cheat with my eating. Some days I just cannot help myself! Do any of you guys ever cheat and if you do, how do you get past the feeling of beating yourself up about it? And also, when you cheat do you make up for it somehow or just keep eating normally after that? Thanks

I just want to eat and NOT CARE
Today I didn't work out, and instead all I wanted was food. I ate my meals in like 2 hour intervals, and threw in some junk in between... Ever have those days where you just want to eat anything and everything in sight and not care? :( And when you do, how do you deal with it?

Eating on Workout Days vs Rest Days
I heard that once you figure out your TDEE-15% (or 20%) you eat those same number of calories throughout the week, both on your workout days and on your rest days. But I still struggle with the mental aspect of that, and I would feel more comfortable eating at BMR (which for me is approx 1400 cals) on rest days, since all…

Protein Shakes and Weightloss?
Has anyone lost weight drinking protein shakes on a daily basis? I heard it's not a good idea to drink them if you're not trying to put on mass. But is it okay as long as it fits within your macros?

Breakfast Ideas?
I'm running out of them  All I can come up with are the basics- fruit, oatmeal, eggs and sometimes english muffins. Does anyone have any interesting ideas please?

Trouble Meeting Calorie Goals
I just upped my cals by a pretty substantial amount and I can see I'm going to have trouble with this. Is anyone who is eating 1700 cals a day willing to let me see their diaries for ideas please?

Figuring out my macros?
I am about to start upping my cals. I've figured out my TDEE and my BMR and I need to customize my goals on MFP. I'm just not sure about the correct carbs-protein-fat ratios I should be eating...? I kind of always just followed MFP's guided goals for me. Now that I'm upping my cals and taking matters into my own hands I'm…

How Much Do You Think I'm Burning? O.o
I know this sounds dumb but I think I might be underestimating how many calories I burn in my workouts. I am currently saving up for a HRM, but until then I'm just making estimates. I need some opinions please. I do 40 mins of circuit training in the mornings and then about 30 mins of turbo sculpt in the evenings on…

It's official... I'm TERRIFIED
I know this topic must be getting old, but here's the thing: I want to lose these 20 lbs quite badly, and I have a feeling that the reason I haven't made much progress over these last 4.5 months is I have not been eating enough. BUT I am terrified t up my calories! I don't mind upping them by 100 or 200. But I recently…

Turbo Sculpt calories burned
Does anyone have any estimates about how much the turbo sculpt workout burns? I can't get my hands on a HRM just yet so I'm not sure how to account for this on MFP. I use 8 lb weights btw and it's really quite challenging for me

Upping My Cal Intake
Hey guys, I need some advise from anyone who can relate please. I increased my calorie intake a couple weeks back because I found out I had been netting under 1200 for quite a while. Now I'm having the problem of eating enough! By the time it's the end of the day, I'm really full but I still have a substantial amount of…

Am I Eating Too Few Calories?
Hello my fellow MFP app users! Okay this post is a tad long but I really need help please! I'm 19, 5'5 and I weigh about 147 lbs. My goal weight is about 125-130 lbs. I joined MFP a few months and I lost about 5 pounds in the first 4 weeks. After that I started to gain back the weight, and now my journey is going really…
