Overdid it. :(
Do you think it would hurt to make yourself throw up when you were stupid and ate too much? I've done it when food has gotten stuck. (twice) It's not stuck, but feel miserable and know that is the reason.

Fitbit Users!
Sorry if I've ask this before, (My memory is terrible!) but does anyone use any of the Fitbits? I'm really thinking of getting either the Fitbit One or one of the newer ones, just wondered if the higher price is worth it. Thanks for any input. :)

Ck it out! New WLS Independent film!!
We had our monthly WLS group support meeting last night and so glad I went. There was another lady there that just finished her 6 month req and waiting for word back from her insurance. She was very emotional because she doesn't have support from home. The group really took her in. We gave her email addresses and phone…

Stuck where?
Ok, this may seem like a dumb question, but after my recent experience with the very painful chicken fajita meat getting stuck, I couldn't answer my sister's question..........just where does it get stuck? In the esophagus? In the pouch? In between? I thought the pain was too high up to be the pouch, but looking at…

New Topic: Tofu? Anyone tried it?
I just watched an episode of "Not My Mama's Meals" and he did the whole show on Tofu. He said very high in protein, so I wondered if anyone uses that for their protein source? Favorite recipe? Ok to try early on? :)

Caffeine?
Is caffeine a no-no because of it being a diuretic, or because it's too harsh for your pouch?

First for me :(
Well out of no where today I'm having lunch, chicken fajita meat with refried beans. I've had several times before, but this time I guess I didn't chew it well enough. Sure thought I did, but bam, it was stuck right under my chest bone it felt like. I burped over and over thinking that would help. It HURT!! I tried sipping…

Losing a Best Friend?
Did or does anyone feel that way...........about food? It doesn't help my husband "seems" likes he's constantly snacking and I miss it. I'm not hungry for it at all, but miss snacking while watching tv, our frequent going out to eat evenings/afternoons. I know we will just have to start doing other things to get out of the…

Liquid Tylenol?
Ok, now that I've decided to get the liquid Tylenol, I can't find it anywhere. Not even on "their" website!! I don't mind buying generic, but wanted to make sure that's my only option. Our local stores say they "used" to carry it and another said they no longer make it. Where are you all getting it? Do you order online, at…

First foods tried?
Ok, I'm finally at the stage of introducing soft foods, (1 week). Just wondering everyone's starter foods and technique? I'm thinking of starting with FF cottage cheese. I know you are supposed to start foods slowly. Did you eat the 1 food for all 3 meals and then move on to a different one the next day? Did you try it for…

Spanx anyone?
Anyone use these, wanting to try? I bought my first from Lane Bryant yesterday and they have a promotion coupon good from 11-1 thru 11-30-2013 for 25% + free S&H on their website only. Just a FYI. The PA last week said she would rather I wear this than the binder to help hold my stomach. Man is it tight! I don;'t think I…

First post-op check up
It was my 2 week check up, but actually 10 days post-op. Amazing how all dr's are different. They want me to concentrate only on eating when hungry even if only 2 times a day, fluids of course, but no concern over the amount of protein. No supplements, just real food. I am thrilled I have more options now. She was…

Take for pain?
Since I'm a recent Bypasser, I left the hospital with Hydrocodone RX. What do you all take for pain, like leg aches (I have) and headaches (I will have)...lol I'm hoping I'll be able to take other things in the future. I would imagine Tylenol, but maybe to soon for tender pouch. I hate to keep the RX med for everything,…

2 Days Post Op-Gained
Had my surgery 10am on Monday 14th, came home yesterday afternoon. Very sore!! Had the Bypass, 7 ports, I'm guessing because he fixed the Hiatal hernia. He took me off my water pill (due to losing Potassium) and my cholesterol medication. I was more concerned about the water pill. My heart rate dropped Monday night, nurse…

Vain question...lol
Ok, went to my pre-op blood work appointment today and RN said I needed a to remove the nail polish or wear lighter color. I have gel nails with the Shellac polish. I'm just wondering if anyone had any experience? Like I said vain question and I don't want there to be any issues. But if I can keep them I want to. Or…

One Month Away!!
Hi all, just joined the group and wanted to jump in and say "HI"! I have my RNY surgery on October 14th. My husband had the sleeve surgery last October and although he had many complications (other health issues), he can finally say he's glad he had it. He's lost about 140 pounds and want to lose about 12 more. I wanted to…

Sleeve patients w/ nausea?
Just wondered if the sleevers on here had excessive nausea after their surgery and how long it lasted? My husband had the sleeve surgery 10-19-2012 and still has nausea that has actually worsened to the point of that he can't smell or look at food. He does have acid reflux bad, which he never had before and just started…
