I think amisnercpa said he'd be on the road today, so I'll do the honors. What do you want to accomplish this month? Think of a few goals you want to reach by the end of September, and challenge yourself to GET'R DONE!

Looking "Badder"?
Beautiful day this afternoon in Louisiana, and had my son snap a pic. I'm down roughly 40 lbs. Skinnier jeans, I fit in my leather jacket again, and I've had to take my chaps in at the waist so they won't fall off. :drinker: I still need to drop another 20 lbs to look "Bad" on my bike, but it's coming. GW - 180-190 CW -…

Men's Challenge for July 2012
Let keep this going guys. While you finish up the June Challenge, I think it's a good time to start the challenge for July. My challenge to myself: -Log 50 miles of walking, and maybe slip some jogging in -Work the upper body, at least 10 sessions with the weights -Lose 6 pounds down to 194 The caveat to this is that I'm…

Recording "Weight/Set" Dilemma
How do YOU record your strength training? This is a stupid question, I suppose. And before anyone asks, I did a half dozen searches. What is the best # to put in Weight/Set? For exercises using Barbells, it seems easy to me. If I do 5 sets x 5 reps of bench press, using 70# (barbell), I record it as 5, 5, and 70#. Another…

From 250 to 200. I'm 2/3rds there. WARNING: No Shirt
WARNING - No shirt (If I did this right  ) I've been working on this for about 6 months. I was 245-250 last year when the first pic was taken. I started losing weight with Myfitnesspal iPhone app in January, with my weight at 247. First few months was dieting only. The last few months I've added quite a bit of…

Weekly Male Stop (June 23-29)
Hey all, I thought I'd start this out for a new week. I used to start these on Fri and go to Thursdays because I typically record my weight on Fridays. But, I think that was confusing. Maybe it's easier to have the thread go from Sun-Sat. We will see. What am I going to do this week? It's my last big push for my June goal…

Weekly Male Stop (May 31-Jun 6)
Roll Call! This might be my last post for a while, as I'm going on vacation. I know I will lose some ground, eating out, relaxing, etc., but that's what vacations are all about. At least, that's my mindset (right or wrong). I'll try to be a little conservative, but I want to enjoy myself. With that said.... After a 3-day…

Weekly Male Stop (May 24-30)
It's Friday... As they say... ROLL CALL!! Hey fellas. It was good to see a few new posters last week. I'll be weighing in this afternoon, but I'm expecting it to be a bit skewed due to going to a "Going Away" party at a friend's last night. Drank way too many adult beverages. How's everybody doing?

Weekly Male Stop (May 17-23)
Hey all. Looks like no one started a weekly thread last week. I was a little busy, but truthfully, I've just been a little P-O'd with my lack of progress on the bathroom scales. That doesn't mean I'm giving up. While I've slowed down to losing only ~1/2 lb per week, I'm really noticing differences in the way I look in the…

The Weekly Male Stop (5/3/13 - 5/9/13)
Hey fellas, Looks like we need to kick off a new week. Unfortunately I wasn't in the mood to start us off yesterday. I seem to have been in a rut. Call it a plateau if you want. Two weeks ago I posted a huge (unexpected) loss, but 4 of my last 5 weigh-in just haven't been as good as I wanted. The last five weeks: -0.2,…

The Weekly Male Stop (4/19/13 - 4/25/13)
Sup? The last few weeks my weight loss had slowed. But I seemed to have snapped out of my funk this week. Was I at a plateau? Why did I seem to lose a pound a day since Monday? I was sick on Sunday night, but have felt great since. I dunno, and not sure I care. Maybe it was a fluke, but I'll take the 4.8 lb loss! I…

The Weekly Male Stop (4/12 - 4/19)
Hey fellas, Last week was a push with me only losing .2 lbs and I thought this week I'd be lucky to lose 1.0. So I was pretty happy steping on the scales this morning and recording -1.6 for the week. And at -40.4, I broke the 40 lb barrier! I've been recording my numbers in a spreadsheet and realized this morning I still…

This is what 40 pounds looks like!
For my ultimate goal, I'm looking for a total loss of 60-70 lbs, and I'm not there yet. However, this morning I did my weekly weigh in and I'm happy to say I've broken the -40 lb milestone. Think about it. Fortyfreakinpounds! Four months ago I carried myself, PLUS an extra FORTY POUNDS. :drinker: Here's what forty pounds…

The Weekly Male Stop (3/29 - 4/5)
Wasup fellas? Another week and another loss. Little by little, I'm disappearing. So what's new? I'm no longer Obese. At 5'10" and 208, I'm officially "Fat". Well, okay. "Overweight" is the term used for me on the BMI calculator. But both terms are nicer in my mind than being Obese. Cheers! :drinker: -Kevin SW: 247…

The Weekly Male Stop (3/22 - 3/28)
Hey guys, After a slow start to the week (again), I'm happy to record a nice loss this morning. I'm walking the pups more, with a 2-mile, fast pace walk in the evenings. I still want to work more with the weights, but haven't motivated myself enough yet. Of course with recording weight losses for 11 straight Fridays, I ask…

Weekly Male Stop (3/15 - 3/21)
Sorry for the confusion last week. I fat-fingered the subject line and couldn't figure out how to fix it. After a rough start last (Fri-Sat) I pushed out another 2 lbs loss this week. That's 10-in-a-row if you've been following me. When I started this, my goal was to get to 200 by Independence Day, and to get there, I…

The Weekly Male Stop 3/1 - 3/7
Yo fellas! Another week has gone by. What's the news? I mean besides the fiscal cliff and sequestration crappola. For the eighth consecutive week I'm posting a loss. According to my bathroom scale, another 2 lbs bites the dust. My original plan was to get to 220 today, but I did that last week, so I'm ahead of schedule. My…

The Weekly Male Stop (
Oh crap. Look at the time and I haven't started the weekly thread yet! (and the damn thing posted before I could put the dates in the topic! It should read 3/8/13 - 3/14/13. Sorry! Yo fellas.. Sup? Wahoo for me. Let's make it NINE straight weeks recording a loss! I recorded 215, but it was 215.4 on the scale and I've been…

The Weekly Male Stop 2/22 - 3/1
Sup, fellas?? How'd y'all do this week and what's your plan for next week? for the weights that I record on Fridays, I've been rounding to the nearest pound. Last week, Ilost 3 pounds and weighed in at 222.4 wich I rounded to 222. So when things weren't looking so well mid-way through the week, I was wishing I had rounded…

The Weekly Male Stop 2/15 - 2/21
Hey all. It's time to start a new week. I hope y'all are doing good this week. I was good during Mardi Gras and recorded another 3 lb loss this morning. Had a NSV this week as I went to the closet on Monday morning and grabbed some khakis for work. I never noticed until I put them on that they weren't my "fat" pants.…

The Weekly Male Stop 2/1/13 - 2/7/13
Hey everyone. How was your week. Mine included a crawfish boil last Saturday, but it was the only day I had above my calorie limit. Plus, I finished off with a couple of LOW calorie days. So, I was a bit excited to step on the scales this morning and was real happy to notice a 5lb loss! I know I won;t see…

Lose or Get off the Bike (til Spring)
The name of this group is perfect for me. Lookin Bad on my Bike. And it’s one of the things pushing me to lose weight. It also seems like a few of you have gone through this, or are going through this same thing. I've been riding as much as I can this winter, but I've gotten to big in the gut for my leather motorcycle…

New to the Group - Kevin
Whoa! A men's group? Awesome! If you want the long intro, check out my post in the main forum... I don't know how to make a link, but this is the URL http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/865702-new-to-mfp-kevin Here's the "in a nutsack" version. I recently turned the big 5-0 and when I started my diet on Jan 7th, I…

The Weekly Male Stop - 1/26 to 2/1
Fellas, I like the idea of a group of guys lending a hand at keeping each other accountable. Others have said the same in the In the http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/788032-looking-for-friends-to-keep-me-motivated thread. What I want to to do is take that thought and see if I can't get it sparked. Starting with this…

Need to be Good at the Crawfish Boil Tonight
From Februaray thru June, we'll have 5-6 (or 20?) crawfish boils. It can be a little salty, and it's always spicy. Not good for those on a diet. I've lost 14 lbs over the past three weeks and have some good momentum going. But, our first crawfish boil of the season is tonight. I suppose it's not that the crawfish is so…

New to MFP - Kevin
Good morning. Not sure if I want to do the whole Forum/Support thing again. I did it in 2009 when I quit smoking, but as I was beating my addiction to cigarettes, I became addicted to the forum. But, I went ahead anyway and typed my introduction in here a week or so back. But there was a glitch and lost the post into the…
