Has anyone received them yet? Still nothing here... Also wondering how they compare?

Costco
I just found out that a Costco is going to open 5 minutes from my house. I'm so excited about this. What do you typically buy there? What's a good deal, and what isn't? I typically only buy things on sale at my regular grocery stores so I'm wondering if it's worth it? I went to BJ's for a while but in the end buying on…

Weight slowly going up but measurements the same?
I've given up on reaching my goal at this point, but I'm a bit confused. I gained 2/3 pounds with the Holidays, and possibly another pound since, but my measurements are still the same as they were in November. Granted, I suck at measuring, but they're similar every time I do it (might be half an inch of difference…

Yet another chicken breast recipes thread
In for ideas... Bored of the same old marinated chicken. Heads up, I don't like the texture of chicken in the crockpot. I usually alternate between spices, marinates, and seasonings, I've done sweet and sour chicken and curry... just kinda bored with it all (and I've had enough Mexican food lately to last me for a while…

Bottom of feet burns after an hour on the treadmill?
Well, that's new. I've been walking all the time for 3 years, but today after just one hour on the treadmill, the bottom of my feet hurts so much that just standing is painful. I didn't even go that fast, but walked as an incline as usual.. Does anyone know what it can be and how to make it go away? Should I get rid of my…

Filling, high protein meal, for 500ish calories?
I didn't have enough protein in my 700 calorie breakfast, so I need to catch up... Going to the store this morning to do some groceries, but I'm wondering - what do you eat when you need a very high protein lunch? I'd like something filling too (unfortunately just an 8oz chicken breast fillet and veggies typically doesn't…

The very spoilery Star Wars thread (read at your own risk)
I can't believe they killed Han. I'm sad. The movie was really awesome though... Yay for female heroes!

Does anyone else sweat exceedingly?
I keep seeing people at the gym running on the treadmill with SWEATERS on... and here I am, walking on it (I usually do it at an incline of 12% or more) and sweating buckets... It's seriously embarrassing, my shirt is completely soaked when I'm done, to the point where I got comments once from a 10 year old girl when I was…

Packaged soup calories... volume, weight?
I'm very confused. I don't know if I should go by weight or volume. I've been buying that grocery store soup that is sold in a 2 cup container, with a serving size of 1 cup (245g), but weighs close to 590g. I always use weight when it's available, but this brand is constantly over and I'm getting really annoyed at how many…

Induction vs coil cooktop?
Not too sure where to put this but I guess it's related to food... sorta. Our cooktop lost its second burner... considering how old that thing is (guessing 20 years at least, it was in the house when we bought it 5 years ago), we're considering replacing it instead of even trying to repair it (hubby wants to try to get it…

I don't remember what it was like pre-MFP...
I'm wondering if I'm alone in this? I've been on MFP for about 3 years (well, my anniversary is next week, lol). And I cannot for the life of me remember what I used to eat before. I remember skipping breakfast, and eating whatever I wanted all day (mostly junk food, and cheese), and eating out a lot (well until we got…

To all the new January members...
Don't give up. You can do it. I started MFP on January 14 3 years ago.. I'm still here and 78 pounds lighter. Don't make unreasonable changes. Reasonable deficit. No crazy diet that requires you to stop eating the things you love. Start to move a bit more, even if it's just a walk around the block to start... You can do it!

Does anyone use jawbone/bodymedia?
I'm considering getting the Up3 when it comes out, has anyone maintained for a while using a Jawbone or Bodymedia? Just curious about how accurate they really are.

Easy bread recipes?
I've been on a baking kick lately. Does anyone have any easy bread recipe to share? Can be any kind (sweet bread too, although I already have a good brioche recipe). Just tired of spending money buying bread when I can make some better one at home (there's some proofing right now but it's my first attempt so I'm not making…

Logging bacon...
I love bacon, I just don't buy it because it's impossible to log. How in the world do you log it? All the packages I've seen give you the calories for 'pan fried'. Is there a specific brand that gives you nutrition for uncooked?

What's the most delicious things you've had in the last couple days?
For me, a toasted slice of Portuguese bread with butter, a couple chocolate covered hazelnuts, Trader Joe's milk chocolate with hazelnuts, and some homemade Asian meatballs.

Getting back into it after a bad month?
Thanksgiving, a wedding, mix in PMS and the treats family has been sending over and my willpower is all but gone. I've been on MFP for almost 3 years and maintained for 1.5 year but for some reason it's much harder this year! Working out is not a problem at all and I'm constantly improving. But the eating... ugh. My…

When you're getting sick... Exercise?
My husband has been pretty sick for a few days (flu-like symptoms, but a little cold knocks him out, so I don't know how serious it actually is, he's a the doctor now). Anyway, I started having a sore throat yesterday and my nose was stuffy all night and this morning my throat is worse. Woohoo, it's only been 3 weeks since…

GAH. Guess I underestimated those for 3 years...
My husband asked me to get bagels yesterday, so I got a few. We have cream cheese and smoked salmon, I haven't been very hungry lately, so this morning I figured I'd have a bagel instead of my English muffin. It's plain bulk bagels from a local store. Usually I'd just log one bagel from some random chain (260 calories),…

Soup using frozen veggies?
I love soups (blended only though), but I can't justify making them when broccoli is $3 a pound and cauliflower $5 for a small head... Does anyone have good recipes using frozen veggies? I admit I haven't experienced much with different kinds, I typically stick to butternut squash or cauliflower/leek/onion (with or without…

What's your Christmas menu?
We're doing it at our place, but we're only having 3 people over. So we want it to be nice, but not a ton of food... I was thinking a lamb roast with roasted potatoes, my husband wants to make a banoffee pie for dessert (fine by me - I don't like banana cakes or pies, so that's calories I don't have to worry about). I'm…

Cauliflower price?
Out of curiosity, how much do those go for in your little neck of the woods? I went to the store two days ago to get some, and they were asking $3.99 for a small. Wth?

High fat diet? Questions
Still trying to figure out how to beat PMS hunger and the only thing I haven't tried is a high fat diet. It used to give me massive stomach pains and diarrhea if I had too much fat, but it's been a while so it might be worth a shot... Questions though... 1) what kind of things do people eat with a high fat diet? I know…

Asian chicken meatballs
Backstory - I had been craving some of those for a long time, but I just can't find them in restaurants here... Found a few recipes online and decided to mix them up and it came out perfect! 1 pound ground chicken Half an onion (50g ish), minced 1 egg 1.5 tbsp soy sauce 25g (1/3 cup) panko crumbs Spices - really up to…

Canned beets nutrition... huh?
I bought a small can of Del Monte sliced beets. It says the serving size is 0.5 cup, or 124g, and that there are about 2 servings in a can (SMALL can. Doubtful). But anyway, drained it came up to 128g of beets total. How in the world do you log that? It's just odd. That came out to 43 calories or so, and USDA values for…
