Meals that are easy to count calories
Some meals are more time consuming to count calories. They may have lots of ingredients or involve weight or measuring before and after cooking. They're fine sometimes but not all the time. What are your go to meals that are easy to count calories?

What are you doing to recharge for the new year?
Especially if you've lost steam during the last month or two. I've been maintaining the past couple of months, and while I'm happy that I haven't gained, I really should have continued on to reach my goal weight. I need to get back into that determined and motivated way of thinking. So if you're in the same boat, what is…

No longer obese AND I weigh 1 lb less than my license says
By losing my 18th pound I am no longer obese! I know so many of you can identify with how thrilling it is to get out of that category and I'm so excited and relieved to be part of the "overweight" club. And the driver license is a bonus, too!!! To those of you who are just starting out, don't give up! Losing pounds is a…

Road Mappers, can you help me choose my activity level?
I'm a stay at home mom and besides household chores and errands my hobbies are mostly sedentary. Three days a week I walk for 20-45 minutes, lift weights (not heavy - usually 5, 8, and 10 lb dumbbells), and do some Pilates which usually total 60 minutes and sometimes a little more. Yesterday was 80 minutes. Another two…

If you are an inch loser please share your experience
I started in mid January at 192 and lost 10 lbs pretty quickly by eating low cal. Netting under 1200 most days. I'm 38 yrs old, 5'4" and would like to get down to 140. My last pound was lost February 24th. I increased calories starting March 2nd and gained 1 pound and have stayed at 183. I'm eating about 1600 calories per…

NSV Inch loser vs pound loser
I'm down two shirt sizes!!! When NSVs are this awesome I can easily learn to be ok with being an inch loser rather than a pound loser. I have not lost any weight in over two weeks but my body is changing, my shape is improving, and apparently I'm shrinking. Five weeks ago I tried on two shirts that I hadn't been able to…

Things you've learned along the way
I thought a thread like this might help people who are just starting out and don't have a lot of knowledge on weight loss. #1 for me was that I can't freak out about weight fluctuations. The numbers will jump around and are not always a reflection of the effort I'm putting into my weight loss. So many times I worked so…

Tell me about your results with only walking for exercise
I had surgery 2 1/2 months ago and am limited as far as exercise right now. I'm trying not to let it discourage me because I really enjoy working out. My last two workouts were too strenuous apparently and I need to give it a rest until the pain goes away. After that I will be limited to 20 minute walks a few days a week.…

Dinner with friend known for making high fat/calorie food
Oh, help me, Rhonda! I have about 1,000 calories left. I left that many purposely so I don't blow it for the day. Tomorrow is my planned cheat meal. I know I'll do well because I'm determined to do well, but wish me willpower, people!!!

Worried about working out after hysterectomy
I'd appreciate any input on this. There doesn't seem to be any clear answers on when to start doing more strenuous workouts. I hear horror stories about injuries and I don't want to go down that road. Right now I'm 2 1/2 months post op and doing Walk Away The Pounds three times a week with 1 lb weights. I'm eager to do…
