Cute books with cats
I know there's a lot of cozy mysteries with cats, can you think of any that you really liked that had them? I don't know why but I'd love a cute one with witches and cats (not bad witches though!)

Getting Access Denied for Groups
I've never had this message before and have been getting it the last 10 minutes on both the website and app. I've been active in groups for 4 years and have never received this before nor have I done anything to warrant restrictions.

What are you reading?
I just finished the 5th in an urban fantasy series, I'm either going to read the 6th or start Flight Girls.

The Friendship List ( possible spoilers)
Hey gang! I started The Friendship List last night and am about 175 pages in now. I really enjoy it so far (obviously) and it has me thinking. As some of you know I was injured fairly young and spent 2 decades over-drugged in bed until I had a fall-out with my pain clinic and cold turkeyed everything, my pain had improved,…

Crossroads Cafe
Didn't one of you recently read this? I saw it on the library app and read it yesterday, it's about a beautiful movie star who gets in a car crash and is badly burned. It was entertaining but I thought the ending was a little TOO perfect.

Books with gardening?
My mom forwarded notable Amazon Kindle Unlimited recommendations to me and I thought this one looked good. Can you think of others that weren't stuffy old ones with gardening? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08SLJVB9R?ref_=pe_3094700_571319320&pldnSite=1

This group
Hi everyone! I don't have any particular plans for this group, just figured we could talk books and maybe read a few together. I jokingly used that picture as a placeholder and I keep trying to change it and it won't work, I've had the worst technology luck this last year so it's actually pretty funny! Sorry for the middle…

Latex allergy and diet
I'm curious how many of you with latex allergies have found they also have sensitivity to things like nightshades, bananas, and apples. I've been trying to eat less anti-inflammatory because of nerve pain and other health issues and just came across this. I haven't wanted to cut nightshades since I have tomato plants and…

The Tiger King on Netflix
Anyone else watching this? I normally don't watch a lot of TV but this has sucked me in, I'm on the 3rd episode since last night.

Exercise calories and MFP activity level
Sorry I'm asking questions again but I'm confused on something! I usually get 10,000-20,000 steps so I upped my activity level from lightly active to active. Are the calorie adjustments from my Fitbit calories I should be eating above that level? I get the majority of the steps during my workouts so I'm not sure if it's…

Foam Rolling
I started foam rolling a few weeks ago and am curious about something. It feels great during and immediately after, but then when I do it the next day all the same knots are there. Do they ever loosen up for good? I do stretching or yoga before doing it, I'd think the combo would calm the muscles.

Overused muscles
OK, I know I should've started resting my legs more before now, let me say that upfront! I do cardio every day, normally a recumbent bike or the stair treadmill. Between getting a Fitbit and being stuck in the house I've been doing a lot of walking-type videos, dancing ones, and low impact wanna-be HIIT cardio plus walking…

Exercise calories and heart rate low
My Versa 2 is telling me my calories burned from weight lifting for 35 minutes is 40 calories, it has to be more than that, right? I'm also being told my heart rate doing cardio (hard workout) is as low as 80 beats a minute when I'm panting and when I take my heart rate the old-fashioned way it was 160. I have my Fitbit…
-
Sweat and workouts
OK, I Googled this and can't find a good answer, I'm embarrassed to ask this question so be nice! Usually I do the stair master or exercise bike for a good hour and am a dripping mess afterward. This last week I've been doing You Tube cardio and weight videos and I get sweaty but not sweating-through-my-clothes sweaty. I'm…

Fitbit and stair treadmill
How do you get an accurate reading doing the stair treadmill? The closest so far is letting my arm swing when stepping (how it naturally does, just feel stupid doing this). I've been putting it on my ankle with a velcro strap but also like monitoring my heart rate. It counted one step out of 210 flights of stairs…

Fiber bad for workouts?
I'm reading the New Rules of Lifting for Women and it's recommended to avoid high fiber, specifically beans, before workouts as the body is busy with digestion afterward. Since I was eating 3 bean turkey butternut squash chili most of the week before the stair treadmill and weights this stood out to me! I didn't notice a…

Paprika peppers
My parents just came back from Germany and gifted me a ring or "necklace" of dried paprika peppers. The cookbook they gave me isn't food I'd eat, I don't eat much meat, mainly chicken breasts, white turkey meat, and fish. I've found a vegan Hungarian goulash recipe that uses paprika and potatoes that looks good. I know…

SonoBello
Just saw this annoying commercial and had to see if I'm not the only one driven crazy by it! They're advertising spot reduction fat removal. A woman comes out teary-eyed and looks at a picture of the new her. The old picture so obviously shows her obese then after she lost a bunch of weight. There's no way fat was just…

Weighing an artichoke
Would you count the weight of an artichoke or weigh before eating then the remains after? Technically there's more left than what you actually eat. It seems higher calorie than it should be for the weight though it's a good-sized artichoke.
-
Vegetable broth
I don't exactly need a specific recipe but some tips. I just started saving vegetable scraps to make broth in the Instant pot. I went out-of-town and didn't have the chance to use fennel stems and fronds so I tossed those in. Will it make the broth too anise-flavored? I also used a few peppers today so I tossed the centers…

Penzey's Spices-favorites?
I'm going to be near and visiting a Penzey's next month and usually want to buy everything when I go! What are your must haves from there? My favorites are: Mural of Flavor. Great on vegetables. I use it on my egg/vegetable scramble all the time. Fox Point: excellent coating the top of salmon with squeezed lemon! This is…

Tajin
OK, I kept reading about Tajin on food and was recently gifted some after asking about it in a group setting. I prefer lemon over lime so the finger pinch taste test wasn't too impressive. I've heard it's good on watermelon but have a tough time imagining this! I did give it a try on veg and fell in love with it on…

Favorite Light ice creams?
So far my favorite is Enlightened Chocolate Peanut Butter. What are your favorites that are worth the price and calories?
