Box Jumps... Tips anyone?
I've got a massive mental block about a number of activities at the Box, Wall walks, hand stands, etc but I the one I want to master first is Box Jumps, I can currently do 10" so at the moment I step up at 20/24" for WODs. I was working on a 10" box with a 25kg plate on top making it about 12/14" but even that was…

Is Crossfit enough?
Bearing in mind that the reason I'm on MFP is to lose 6.5 stone / 90 lbs, I'm wondering if CF is enough. I do CF at my local box about 5 times a week, some weeks 4 as I have to travel with work. As with the nature of CF, there is true variety, some sessions leave me dead on my feet and drenched in sweat , but others I come…

4 st down & stubborn "belly" remains
Hi, I wasn't sure which forum this should go on as the answer to my question could be exercise, or nutrition, or something else? Since August 2011 I've been losing weight and have successfully lost 4 st (56lbs) which has been around 3 UK dress sizes dropped. The area which seems to be stubbornly hanging around is my belly…

Question on Nano 2.0's
Hey OH and I are looking to get some Nano 2.0's before they disappear (don't like the 3.0). Questions are: We're wanting to personalise so really want a good idea of size first, if you have them how did you find the fit compared to "main stream" trainers? Secondly, I guess for UK guys, any suggestions of stockists that may…

Assistance on calorie goal, please?
Okay so eating food at an Italian last night left me feeling rubbish so thinking of reassessing my current "normal". I did a 30 day Paleo challenge at New Year, so might try and make my diet more paleo, not 100% as that didn't agree with me but I liked the cleaner eating. As for calories, I don't feel like I've lost any…

Nutrition / tips for splitting nails
Hi! I've got awful nails, my fingernails split and peel and I've had enough! I've tried no varnish, varnish with base and top coats, special glass nail file all sorts! I think my diet's pretty good in terms of nutrients etc... Anyone had this problem and found a solution?

Its been a while... but another NSV!
So quite some time ago I sorted my wardrobe out to get rid of anything that was too big, and got TWO big IKEA blue bags full of clothes for the charity shop! This morning I've had to add 4 pairs of trousers to the pile as I simply can't keep them up! I think I've officially dropped a dress size in trousers

Gift suggestions?
Hi! Its my dad's birthday on the 1st July and I'm looking for ideas for his birthday present. He was made redundant in December of last year, so I was thinking it would be good to get him something that could be a new hobby, but that doesn't cost too much to keep up. He loves photography, and historical things. Should…

Just over half way... (pics!)
Having had a great day shopping, being able to get pretty, and slinky sexy, clothes in shops I never used to be able to go in made me feel great! I figure there's no time like the present to share my progress! I started on MFP quite some time ago but only got serious about losing weight in August 2011 when I saw my before…

UK Ladies - comfortable heels!?
Hi, I start a new job in a few weeks and looking to spruce up my shoe wardrobe :) I love shoes... Maybe a little too much in that I buy them regardless of comfort most of the time... Dry Shampoo Advice
Hi guys, I had surgery on my scalp on Thursday and can't wash my hair until the sutures come out on Tuesday :( As a "wash my hair every day no matter what" girl I'm going a little crazy! The nurse recommended dry shampoo, so I bought some, but my question is - how many times can I use it between real shampoo? Any tips…

Morning Workouts - Do you have a good one?
I'm kicking off count down to my holiday, just under 20 weeks & want to ramp up the toning side of my fitness. I aim to go to the gym 3-4 times a week and do an over all workout, mixture of circuit, cardio/HIIT and release stretches. But now thinking about adding in 15-20 minutes each workday morning to start of the day,…

NSV - a reverse problem!
So setting off on a dog walk this morning and needed to dig out some jeans that fit as my others are ridiculous now, rolls of material everywhere! Find a a stack of pairs at the back of my wardrobe, and the first three pairs - too big! Finally settle on some that are big but not too big and then the NSV... my usual belt,…

Yoga - classes as a "noob"
So here it is, I'm contemplating starting yoga once my exam's over and done with, partly for the relaxation, partly to build in flexibility with my strength (building). There are classes already running at my local gym but I'm wondering, seen as I have 2 months til I have the time free enough to go to a class, should I be…

Spanx & similar...
Guys, I'm after some advice, getting down into dresses sizes that I feel more comfortable actually wearing dresses but was contemplating something along the lines of Spanx to smooth the last few bumps out a bit. Spanx seem to be quite dear and both those and the cheaper alternatives seem to have really negative reviews on…

Little NSV, a Slinky one!
So I'm sure a lot of you suffer from the same problem as me, a lot of shops have different sizes and just as you can fit into a dress in one size at Shop "A" doesnt mean Shop "B" will be anywhere near! When I started to make my lifestyle change I decided my NS goals would be to get to a size 14 in dresses and a 16 in…

Cheap HRM... such a thing?
I'm starting to think i might not be recording calories burnt accurately - between MFP over estimating and cardio equip being "generic" on its burn rates I'm thinking its time for a HRM. Most people on here are quoting ones that cost circa £70 and I don't have that spare right now. Is it possible to get one around the £20…

Beauty Q - Legs! - girls help!
Hi, One for the girls I guess... When I shave I don't get that perfect all over tone I see others with - whilst I don't have a tan, and I know that would help... i'm still a little stumped. Its like you can see the pores, or at least the remainder of the hair down in the pores, so whilst they're smooth they don't really…

I'm at a total of…

2st Lost & frustrated!
I just don't get it. 2 stone lost and I can't see from where - plus I haven't changed a dress size! :( I've got size 20 trousers that are literally falling off me yet I can't get size 18's in shops past my thighs. Makes me feel like giving up when no matter what my loss is each week, I can't go get smaller clothes. I'm now…

Creative ideas for motivating weight loss...

Protein Shake Suggestions - Please Help!
Hi I currently use PhD Pharma Whey diet before the gym (1/2 a serving) but really don't like the taste (worked my way through nearly all the flavours and settled on strawberry as the least offensive). Stuck on a plateau! some advice?
Hi, I've been training & following a diet plan from my PT since August and have lost 2 stone which I'm really happy with. However most of this was lost in the first two months and now I'm struggling with drive, motivation and energy! (Doubt the winter months and Christmas have helped!) Miraculously I managed not to put on…
