Blisters from rowing...

Okay, so I've come to the conclusion I can't prevent blisters on my palms / fingers from rowing machine, gloves minimise it but still there!

So does anyone know how to get rid of them quick? Or to prevent the hard skin they leave behind?

Thanks!

Lotions designed to soften rough skin or callouses. If I'm not mistaken they form due to sweat and/or friction so you could try to find a way to either reduce the sweat or put something between your palms and the machine that would help like a towel/cloth or paper towels. Gloves would just make you sweat more and then you have the friction of the glove.
  • I used to wear my proper winter leather gloves instead of the sports one. I looked a right sight in the gym but hey ho!

My hands don't get sweaty rowing, think it's more of the grip/pinching skin makes a blister?

Or just let them callus. Then the padding will be there and the skin won't break. I have perpetual calluses on my hands from rowing and kettlebells. Sometimes I just file them down to flatten them out, but they do prevent many blisters.
