My mom watches her carb intake and has lost 95 lbs! I am so proud of her. I watch calories and lost 37 lbs! We constantly go back and forth as to which system is best. its been a year and a half!
and I have kept the weight off and feeling better than ever!! I think as someone said "Its a lifestyle change". I feel good in my clothes! number rising = good
I have lost my weigh that I was shooting for. Now, for the last 8 or so weeks I have been toning and strengthing. I hate to see the number on my home page go up, but that just means muscle, I hope ;-). I definitly have definition now and am loving it! I now have muscles in my legs that have been MIA up till now!

ab problems
I have been doing ab workouts with the kettlebells. Problem is ....the upper abs are coming along very nicely but the lower (under belly button) are not coming along to my satisfaction. kettlebell burn
Just got my kettle worx cds and did the introduction cd...wow..320 calories burned in 35 min. I know my legs are gonna burn tomorrow!!! lol...but burn so good!! Think I'm going to like these things!!!

I bought a set of three today and love love love them. I burned 300 calories in 41 minutes. Now if I cant go to the gym I can do this at home. Im on the look out for a cd. I just did some moves I looked up on you tube. :smile:

holiday weight gain
Well....the damage wasnt too bad. I gained 4 lbs.:ohwell: Now Im getting back to my routine! :smile:

top heart rate for my age
The top rate for my age (47) is 161 bpm. As I get leaner, fitter, and lose weight, does that rate raise? Or is it the top rate no matter what? I just thought as my muscles get stronger , the heart being one, my top rate would raise.

leslie sansone work out
I bought the leslie sansone dvd and it was wonderful! I followed it with a beginners pilates dvd. I burned 475 calories! I will definitly will do these on days I cant make the gym. Thanks to all who recommended this cd!

arc trainer
I use the arc trainer (cybex) at the gym. MFP doesnt have it listed when I search the track exercise page. I have been just putting elipitcal as the exercise, but I feel I get a much better workout than on an elipitcal. I love putting the stepping height up on 20!!

heart rate showing on machine next to mine
When I go to the gym with friends who dont use hrms or keep their hands on the pulse sensor on machines, my pulse rate is picked up by their machine. Good thing they dont care! Wonder why this happens? :ohwell:

I have been looking for a video to get to do at home when I dont go to gym. Every one Ive looked at they always get on the knees or do a lot of lunge/squats. I have had one knee replaced but the other is very arthritic and hurts to do that kind of stuff. Is there any out there that I would be able to do? Even the yoga…

how to figure times out
I have a polar hrm. I use it at the gym, which I just joined. I usually do my cardio on a cybex machine and then work on the leg machines one day and the arm machines the next. joined a gym
Sooooo excited!! I joined a gym and I am having a ball!! I have an ellipitical at home and have been doing that every day, but was starting to get bored. I have friends at work that have gym memberships, so I went as a guest with them and it was a blast.

Woooohooo maintaining now!!!!
Been doing this since January of this year, and finally can start maintaining!!! Although....redid my goals and now I can have 1690 calories. Ive been eating 1200 for so long ....that it seems like sooooo much!! lol Will add them slowly and keep an eye on it though. Went from 167 lbs to 135. So happy!!!!

I tried these and love them!! They chew different than pasta but I can get used to that. They have 1 carb and 0 calories!! They are made from yams. 0 calories and I no longer have to give up the "pasta" wants!!!

eating out!!
Wow...everyone wants to celebrate mothers day by eating out and my mom wanted to eat out yesterday...my family today. BUT....I just jump on the elipitical and work it and get more calories for the day and I look up the resturant before I go and pick my foods and have done just fine so far!! Even lost a pound...lol

no water weight at tom
I have been watching my sodium a lot better the past two weeks and this is the first time I havent gained 2 to 3 lbs of water weight. I have stayed at my weight. OR I really have gained it and just lost some more and will find out when its gone!! I like that thought better!

bought zumba
boy...I totally suck at this. My knees dont rotate like they should cause of knee replacement so then my hips dont do right. But I will keep at it. I did it for an hour. Im not too tired cause I couldnt really keep up , hopefully it will get better. :ohwell:

Has anyone done this that has bad knees? I have had one knee replaced and the other still is painful if "bounced" on too much. Is it mostly jumping?

I just found out yesterday that there are catagories for exercise, for instance general-gardening for yard work. Are there other catagories to look at and log? How did you find them? Thanks
