What is an example of this? more or less what is it?

High intensity for a short period of time. I use it for stationary bike. A 10 minute ride is equal to 75 minutes.

Go to utube - they have lots of examples for HIIT.
I work with my trainer - he has me jumping on and off cardio equipment - doing floor exercises, dragging chains across the floor. It really burst of energy - getting your heart rate up and putting on a big sweat.0 -
It is training in intervals where the intensity is high.
Though, I prefer:
Super
High
Intensity
Interval
Training
Makes for a better acronym.0 -
