cramp in ball of foot/arch
I have been working out a lot lately, and I have began feeling an extreme tightness/pull in the arch of my foot, near the ball of one foot. Any suggestions to make it better? Good stretches? What might have caused it? Thank you!

Ate Fried Food and Feel Guilty
I never ever ever eat fried food. I would consider myself to be a rather clean eater and a conscious eater and food tracker. Today I went to an all-day concert and allowed myself to have a Mike's Hard Lemonade and a FRIED chicken slider, and now I am home and I realize that I am not only OVER my calories for the day, but I…

Can't eat but have to. What should i cram in my face?
So my stomach has kind of been in knots lately because of personal things, but I have been trying to still workout and eat right beyond that part of my life. But I have found it have to have the same appetite because of it. I eat a low carb, high protein diet. I am at 1,009 cals and need to get to AT LEAST 1300-1500 before…

Going out for DRINKS tonight
Alright! So here's the thing... Once upon a time, I used to go out for a drink or twelve and eat deliciously bad for me foods and do nothing the next day. I am hoping not to do that tonight. But you see, since I started on this journey (of health and fitness), I have not really drank alcohol, if at all. Tonight, though, my…

Not enough sleep last night, should I nap?
I didn't get NEARLY enough sleep last night (like 3-4 hours), and I am exhausted!! I worked out this morning and ate, etc, and I was wondering what your guys' thoughts are on napping. Should I nap to "catch up" on sleep or just push through my day? Thoughts? Oh, and IF SO, how long do you believe a healthy nap is?

Mono and polyunsaturated fats
Can anyone tell me the difference between the two [Mono and polyunsaturated fats] in layman's terms? Also, maybe elaborate on saturated fats? Thank you!!

Stress and weight
I don't know about you, but I have found that the more stressed I am, the harder time it is to make that little number tick down on the scale. And lately, it has been sitting pretty still. I'm not writing to vent about my drama. I'm just curious if others notice the same things. Anything that helps?

From Bar Rat to Gym Rat
My fun time used to consist of going out to bars and drinking or going out with friends (for dinner or whatnot) and have a "few" beers. :drinker: Being as I have been living a "healthier" lifestyle, I do not do this. Well, IF I do, it's more like a vodka soda kinda night (one maybe two). With that being said, what are some…

Protein Shakes
I have been a [huge] fan of protein shakes (whey and Advantedge), but lately they almost make me want to vomit thinking about them. Like right now, I need to get quick protein after a workout before I get ready and run out the door. So naturally I would reach for a shake (for convenience and the most bang for your buck),…

Cereal after workout
I just got done working out (weights mostly and some cardio), and I was wondering your thoughts on CEREAL (with eggs whites, ham/turkey, cheese on the side) after said workout. I usually opt for fruits as my "carbs" after workout, but today I am kind of wanting some Kashi cereal. Thoughts?

Eating smart when out and about
Hello, pals of myfitness, I have a question for you. When I am out and about and hungry I find places to eat (mostly Panera or maybbbeee subway), but I am having a hard time finding places that are nutritious, fast, and possibly low carb/high protein. Where do you all suggest I go to get some food when on the go?

The foam roller
I had heard about it over the years, but recently purchased one. If you don't have one yet, BUY ONE!! It is amazing!! I am still trying to figure out the best way to get at my trapezius muscles. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!  :glasses:

Every... thing... hurts
I have been exercising consistently for about 2 months now, and BOY DOES MY BODY HURT! (tight tight tight trapezius muscle, lower back, shoulders, hip flexors, and on and on) The worst part would probably be my upper though.... well and my right hip. My recent purchase of a foam roller has been much loved, but as soon as I…

what to eat
So it is nearly 11pm here, and I am trying to hit my 1500 calories. I mean, I could run a bit shy, but at this moment I am at 957 calories. Any suggestions as to easy-ish, low in carb (kind) and high in protein snack or meal? I could do a shake maybe, but I'm hoping to find something new and delicious. Thanks.…

Seattle 5k
Is anyone in the Seattle area that would want to participate with me in a 5k? I am thinking about doing one that takes place at the beginning of next month. It would be a great way to meet new, like-minded people, and it would also be an awesome way to stay motivated and work towards something. Anyone? :embarassed:

10 lb Kettlebell
I was shopping today and came across a 10 lb kettlebell at a good price. So I bought it. I was thinking to do it more for one armed exercises. I generally DL about 60 lbs+ so I'm not looking to DL with it. That being said, I kind of feel like it might be a worthless amount for me. Should I return it? Thoughts?…

Seattle area
I am looking for some support from online and maybe even in person from people who are close (geographically) to me. Since starting on this journey, I have found that many... well most... of my friends don't share in the same goals and lifestyle as me, so it makes it difficult to hang out with them and maintain and enjoy…
