cramp in ball of foot/arch

I have been working out a lot lately, and I have began feeling an extreme tightness/pull in the arch of my foot, near the ball of one foot.

Any suggestions to make it better? Good stretches? What might have caused it?

    If it's a charlie horse type of cramp, you may be low in potassium. Add some potatoes and/or bananas to your menu.

    I get those all of the time. Along with low potassium, it can also be caused by dehydration or low calcium and magnesium.
