5k Sept 14th
Anyone training for a 5k in the next month? I had been running 3 miles about 4 times a week up until a few weeks ago when I didn't run for a while then shortened it down to 2 miles a couple times a week. Motivation in this heat (south USA) if ridiculous. So, I signed up today with a friend for a 5k Sept 14th and I've got a…

18 months out
Today I had my early ob/gyn visit. My youngest child is 18 months. I gave birth at about 185lbs and am now proudly down to 135 lbs. It has been a lot of hard work, eating well and continuing to chase babies all over the place. I have a great support team. I couldn't do this without my husband. I just want everyone to know…

Labral tear in hip
Anyone have experience with labral tear in their hip? I'm having an MRI done next week to determine if that is in fact what's wrong with my hip. I've been out of commission since May, doing PT for the past month and nothing seems to be helping. Is the only REAL way to relief surgery? Talk to me people!

starting again wednesday
After being forced to take off from running for six months due to hip injury I'm attempting my comeback on Wednesday with day 1 of the c25k app. It was an excellent app when I started back to running after having two babies in two years. I miss running so much and I'm looking forward to Wednesday. Wish me luck!

Yoga for IT band issues
I've downloaded some amazon prime yoga videos to help rehab my IT band issue (along with the PT stretches and strengthening exercises I was prescribed). Anyone have any specific poses and/or videos they recommend? I'm looking for something to do now as well as on my rest days once I get back to running. Thanks!

Just looking for anyone going through something similar for support. I'm sticking to CICO so my weight is fine but just the uncertainty of this appointment…

Going on vacation Saturday so eating everything in the fridge before we leave. OMG! So, for my whole life I thought I hated cottage cheese. I finally grew up today (41 years old) and decided to give it another try. I AM IN LOVE! I ate some plain and it was amazing, then I added a halo (mandarin orange) and it was incredible! I have found my newest midday snack. It's high in protein and so YUMMY! Do…

Moms getting back to exercise
My 7 month old is finally sleeping more regularly through the night which means that Momma needs to get on the exercise band wagon. Up to now I've used any spare moment to sleep b/c night time wasn't cutting it. I've already started eating better which has helped tremendously but I miss all my runs, weightlifting and other…

Two babies in 2 years
I'm back to watching what I eat and exercising after having babies just 14 months apart. I'm loving my little ones but being back to work I'm trying to figure out how to get a work out in without getting up at 5 a.m. everyday. I'm afraid that is going to be my only option and I'm a little sleep deprived as it is with a 4…

FINALLY working out again
It has taken me until my precious one is 5 months to start working out and watching what I eat. Before baby I was a runner and meticulous about logging and keeping my weight down. How do YOU balance?
I am a working mother of a 5 month old. I just began working out again and eating right. I found that if I get up at 5 in the morning and work out I'm up and done before hubby and baby are up. I also find it makes my day much better (mentally). Hubby is a great partner and helps me with everything but there are still…
